I mean that he didn’t just quit politics out of disgust, comforted that he was right.
You think he likes being nice to people like Clinton or Biden or Pelosi? Or going on Ellen and dancing? He does it because that’s the path you have to take to get people to entertain your ideas.
I’d love it if some twitter communist got on the debate stage and called everyone else a bunch of corrupt warmongers. They’d be right. But they wouldn’t win people over. Bernie was able to move left in 2020 compared to 2016 because he met disaffected liberals somewhere in the middle, and then his “extreme” positions in 2016 became the new middle. Soon his “extreme” 2020 positions will be that middle.

Maybe I missed your point?
Just like I said Trump didn't nefariously collude with the Russian Government. And people now generally agree my side was right.
I don't believe it, Trump said he would and didn't release the Mueller report, he don't get no slack from me with that kind of bluff.

My guess is someone reminded him that it didn't look good for him.

That's what I figured, had to be bad, worse than saying he would release to clear his name and then not doing it.

We'll learn the true extent of Russian collusion with Trump over the next few months/years.
Making a judgement right now is premature.

That's what I've been saying. But Russia or no Russia, Trump's recent actions make it more likely he will be prosecuted at the federal level, besides New York. There is certainly a tradition of not criminalizing the presidency, but now there are enough people, who will say enough is enough and he has to pay.
I don't know if criminal convictions are likely, but i would settle for ruining him economically.

Trump won’t ever be federally prosecuted because then no one will take the job.
The entire premise of the US government is you get elected and do crimes, then you leave and get rewarded for the crimes you did. If people start getting punished for those crimes, that system falls apart.

Yeah, but I'm thinking extent not if given the bluff, though I wouldn't rule out that it's something else in the unredacted report he wouldn't want known.

I’ve seen dozens of videos like this one, in case there’s someone reading this forum who doesn’t think the cops and the fascists are besties.

There’s a quote I posted earlier of some woman saying the cops are supposed to shoot BLM protesters, not patriots.

That's why I posted this a few pages back:
Quote:
Kryptos said: Anyone see the theory that Trump ordered loyalists higher up in the capitol police to stand down?
Kinda explains the lack of preparation, and the videos of police literally letting protesters through the barricades. Think about it: a complete abdication of leadership, which leaves individual rank and file cops to decide the course of action. As a result, the ones that sympathize with the rioters end up falling back, screwing over the cops trying to do their actual jobs.
It's a coup attempt with plausible deniability.

Which again support the coup through abdication of leadership angle.
National guard was on BLM protesters within minutes, and there was a line of armed troops by the time BLM got to the capitol.
This, on the other hand, looks like an intentionally slow response, with the hopes that MAGA rioters manage to complete the coup before the cops can organize on a local level, or anyone else steps in to fill the leadership vacuum.
I'm sure Pence also waited to see which way the wind was blowing before calling the national guard, using the excuse that it as Trump's job.
Unfortunately, it got lost in the shuffle when FW was being a bootlicker again.

It seems like once these clowns actually got in the capitol they didn't know what to do and just took a bunch of selfies. Coup averted through their own narcissism

As I've said before, Trumpists (including FalconW, obviously) can't accept the most basic facts about reality. He knew Trump said he might not give a peaceful transition of power and voted for him anyways. Traitor(s).

Not sure it's been mentioned yet, but one of the DC police who were injured yesterday in the terrorist attack on the capital has died from their injuries. Blood has been shed on the side of the United States of America from this attack.
