Should I give these APEs more time * 2
    #27132994 - 01/07/21 01:38 PM (3 years, 21 days ago)

It’s a 6qt shoebox that started pinning about 7 days ago.  Some of the stipes have softened but the majority are still pretty firm.  This is my first time growing them and after reading a lot of the threads on the subject I’m ready to pull the trigger and harvest, just needing some assurance that I’m not pulling them too early.  Any and all responses appreciated.

Thanks, man.  They’ve taken forever to get to this point so I didn’t want to jump the gun.  All I’ve grown to this point are golden teachers so I’m pretty stoked about giving these a try.

Looking good, unsure why your casing is everywhere, was casing an afterthought?!

Lol, it wasn't really an afterthought. That’s what happens when you’re inexperienced and decide to do things when you’re completely hammered.  Wasn’t too happy with myself when I reviewed my work the next morning

Ended up being 232g before it went into the dehydrator.  We’ll see where it ends up after I clean all of the casing and substrate bits off of it when it’s dry.

Brother?

I don't think I had done any mush cult without being drunk since I first started.

In my defense it was the first ‘tub’ I’ve cased in my short and rather unremarkable growing career.  I’ll be sure to edit the sloppiness out of any and all future pics to avoid further ridicule

Should be 20-25g dry, general rule is 10% is your dry wait. They look good though,  I finally got some APE going.

There was a decent amount  of casing that wouldn’t come off easily, at least until it’s dry and I can brush it off so I’m hoping for 16-18 all tolled.  Congrats and best of luck getting yours going.  I’ve got golden teacher, PE and APE going right now and the APE is by far the slowest of the three for me.  Hopefully yours are faster than mine.
