I accidentally sent my cat into hyperspace with DMT. Poor guy was subject to a large dose of changa as I was trying to dry it out on a pyrex dish ontop of the hob.
I totally forgot I was dehydrating changa, as I was really high on weed. Smelt that familiar smell... ran in to the kitchen and saw there was so much pouring of the pyrex plate. I turned it off, had a big whiff (crazy bad idea) And I felt it coming on strong so I went to lay down in the hall - away from the kitchen. That was when I noticed our poor cat... looking pretty sorry for himself in a cardboard box. I don't think he ever forgave me for that. I'm pretty sure he knew it had something to do with me..
He was fine - didn't freak out. Just stayed in that box for about 3 hours. Then came out. And was fully back to 'normal' the next day. normal for a cat. I'll never forget the look on his face when I returned to the kitchen though. He looked totally high as a kite lmao. Didn't appear to be having a bad time and was semi-concious/drowsy -- peaked his head up out of the box, likely to say FU. and then dissapeared back inside.

Giving shrooms to dogs should not be frowned upon.

I had a mushroom trip with friends, a really funny one, of the kind you do as a teenager to do something wild and have a good laugh. Long story short, we made some tea and our cook threw the remaining shroom matter in the bin (we were more than 10 people so there was something to eat indeed ...).
Thing is, my hosting friend had a dog, a big one, not the smartest at all and we used to make fun of it though we liked it very much. When we came downstairs a few hours later, we discovered the lid of the bin had been removed and the bin itself was lying on the floor with bits of mushrooms on the floor. We found the dog hiding under the stairs, a little scared but not terrorised, more like not understanding what was happening. We spent some time petting it, my friend was afraid for his dog, but it seemed the dog was quite okay so we went back to tripping after a while. We were in for a big fright but the dog was back to his normal self the following day and happily lived ever after

God damn I asked about giving pets a MICRODOSE, not fucking being irresponsible and leaving a half ounce out in the open for a dog to eat.

Did you even read ? the mushrooms were not left out in the open, the dog forced the trash bin, maybe there was some meat leftovers inside and that lead him to do it but nothing irresponsible was done.

Friend had a dog that developed a taste for weed, like turn your back and he would steal the bud you were about to roll off the coffee table.
That dog took alot of drugs without people's consent

Dogs like CBD i think. My sister has a frenchy and those poor animals are generally in pain due to their gentetics. This dog will beg you for some buds as soon as she smells them and she'll chew on one for a couple of minutes and then spit it out. Lol.
But yeah, chill out guys. I don't think anyone here thinks it's a good idea to dose an animal. That's in a similar ball park to giving drugs to kids. Don't do it. Personally I am ok with giving a dog / cat CBD if they are distressed due to fireworks e.t.c. or in pain. But that would only be with my dog/cat. And I'd keep a close eye on them, Anything stronger or psychoactive would be an awful thing to do.

lol what is the point there bucko.
If you give someone/something a drug with out their consent, regardless if you are doing it to help them you are still giving them a drug without consent. Things are never black and white.

That's still your fault for 1. Not training your dog good enough to not dig through the trash. And 2. Keeping meat in the trash.
Anyway, I gave my dog cbd biscuits in her last months before she had to be put down due to a tumor rupturing. The CBD gave her more energy and it got rid of the pain in her hip so she wasn't limping anymore.
Marijuana doesn't have any active thc until you decarb it. Dogs don't get high from eating weed, unless it's in the form of a decarboxylated edible. Thca is non psychoactive. It's really good for pain and inflammation though.

That will not go over well here, my friend.
I'm going to assume you mean LETTING a dog eat some mushrooms unintentionally (if your dog find some on a trail and you don't realize it until after the fact, that's one thing; leaving your shrooms out for it to eat is another), and not forcing them upon the dog against its will, making it trip and probably giving it all sorts of permanent psychological issues as a result.

I give my cat Prozac every day. The vet prescribed it to stop him from pissing in the closets and bedrooms. We were dealing with it until he started pissing in laundry baskets full of clothes that my wife had cleaned and folded. I love the little guy, but I was ready to have him put down over this. It worked like a charm.
Anyway, we didn't get his concent before putting him on Prozak. I sneak it into his food without his knowledge. Is that a bad thing?
While it is certainly cruel to force feed a pet mind altering drugs, let's not get too freaked out about a tripping dog or cat or any other animal for that matter. Long before humanity tainted the earth, hungry creatures were munching down things that grew in the woods. And that includes dogs eating psychedelic mushrooms.
