The horror that is the USA, is decades old, for example the story of The Marshal Islands - produced, directed, & written by John Pilger,
This horror predates Trump, and will continue after him.

The Marshall Islands happened after WWII when people were fed up with total war and willing to go to any lengths to prevent it. Since then the United States government has spent billions in compensation, medical programs, economic development, and environmental clean up.

Of course you were not a resident of the Marshall Islands when the A-bomb was dropped, and didn't have to watch your kids die of cancer. And your whole way of life and that of your neighbors destroyed. One might guess that you did not actually watch the flick, or have some sort of vested interest in the US power structure, otherwise your callous attitude seems a bit strange.
Then there was the history of the opium trade, how the west treated China then, info about Mao, and the brutal consequences of hundreds of US bases, world wide.
As you defend only one aspect of the film, and base your defense mainly on money spent, it suggests, that you neither watched, have a vested interest, and are callous. But don't worry your not alone, in belonging to such a demographic category.

Why would he watch the flick? The meat and potatoes of this forum is dialogue, It is a rule of this forum to comment on those things you would like to discuss in a thread you start with a video in it.

Were you a resident of the Marshall Islands? I'm aware of the opium trade and gunboat politics from hundreds of years ago. Honestly you should be blaming British colonialism for that. I'm also aware of Moa LOL. I'm also aware of the consequences of American bases protecting free and peaceful world trade. You see in WWII China got massacred and raped by Japanese. America then had to fight a world war on two fronts and used an atomic bomb technology newly developed to end said war. After that the world got together and said we were never going to allow anything like that to happen again. I think you've been spoon fed alot of bullshit and don't have a proper concept of world history

How do you feel about the 8 years that was the horror of Obama-Biden?
Or did you not hear about that on the news Obama was so much worse than Trump.

The horror. What a goofy thing to say. Tell us about the horror.
Obama was a disappointment because he raised expectations and did not nearly meet them, but the only horror was the people who had to throw up in their mouth for 2920 days because we had a black President.

Trump didnt correct any of that nor did he stop drone strikes. Indeed, he made it so they stopped reporting how many theyre doing.

I wasn't talking about Trump. The guy I replied to wasn't aware of any wrongdoing of Obama.

Meh drone strikes are a tricky business. Many of our advisory have been using the human shield and all kinda fucked up tactics for years so the can turn around an point the finger. Also ill he the first to admit theres always bad intel bad calls and mistakes made no matter how well you try to plan things or keep your head on a swivel. Whats important is to learn and never make those mistakes again.
