Agreed, because it's the period where we had to decide whether we were going to stand up to fascism or not.

You have to be delusional to claim that Trump or his legal team were given any advantages whatsoever in their attempts to undo the election fraud. The entire establishment was against them. The mainstream media, who are basically just paid prostitutes who lie in exchange for a paycheck, were calling the allegations "baseless" from the very beginning long before any evidence had a chance to be shown. These judges had no spine whatsoever, and were more afraid of riots than they were about whether or not the election was stolen.
As for the judges Trump appointed, he was never very good at picking the right people for the job. He surrounded himself with Neocons like John Bolton for God's sake. The man had very, very few allies and basically just went with whatever choices were suggested to him by his "advisers", many of whom were establishment hacks. Trump never did clean house and surround himself with allies like he should have, because he didn't have any.
I don't know what it will take to wake the American people up and out of their stupor. But right now the state of affairs is extremely negative. We have a brainwashed population and now a ruling elite who stole power illegally that are going to be able to do whatever they want, and roughly 50% of the population who believe whatever the idiots on the TV tell them, will literally support the complete destruction of their own freedoms.

this is precious. If you wanna have a real talk someday about the evils of the american system, rampant corruption, the nuanced downsides of corporate media vs government funded etc, there's plenty of people all across the political spectrum who share some of those concerns. But if you want any of them to take you seriously you'll have to give up on the make believe

Trump was not a fascist at all. But you bet your ass that the people who are taking power now, definitely are. Only they're pretending to be liberal socialists. These people are anything but. They want to completely destroy the Constitution along with every freedom you ever had. Total control over every aspect of your life and society as a whole.
And you're supporting them, because you let yourself fall for their propaganda and lies.

They had the big disadvantage of being unwilling to make the kinds of allegations in court that Trump had been making to the public.

Is his hand in his pants while he watches Game of Thrones?
The fact that anyone supports disbarring Rudy Giuliani, a man who literally took down the mafia, is insane and just goes to show how pathetic and retributive you people have become.
Rudy Giuliani is a hero for attempting to expose the blatant election fraud that took place. Too bad the deck was stacked against him.
Historians will remember this as being, by far, one of the darkest periods of American history... where a ruling oligarchy stole power forcefully through voter fraud and roughly half the country, being hopelessly brainwashed, went along with it and made a deliberate choice to completely ignore the evidence.
Giuliani voluntarily dismissed his Georgia suit last week because he was going to have to present evidence. If he can't find the evidence, what makes you think there is any?

“Attempting to expose”
Yep. Case closed, folks.

Hitler once ran a race against the top German athletes, and they all slowed down to let him win.
He thought he was the fascist man in Germany.

You think a billionaire president who appointed himself many of the judges hearing the arguments made by an all star legal strike team, and who had the resources to file over 60 suits and get fast track consideration at the Supreme Court was incumbered by unfair disadvantages? Hilarious

Best I can figure, he thinks it refers to authoritarianism/totalitarianism in general and not to a specific far-right authoritarian ideology as exemplified by the regimes of Hitler and Mussolini.

Trump openly praised the best authoritarians and dictators of the current era. All while being perfectly quiet about many of the most successful democracies in the world. He also installed a bunch of friends throughout a multitude of government agencies that simply weren’t qualified for the positions they received.
Nope, nothing suspect there. He’s an all around good dude who cares about democracy.

The endless partisan rallies of angry rhetoric through his term are no cause for concern either, they just mean he is a hard working politician. And that his opponent who didn't have these superspreader rallies during a pandemic can't really have got more votes.

The Trumpsters were chanting about hanging Pence. How pissed off would they be if they actually managed to pull it off only to find that Pelosi would assume the position?
We are dealing with some special people.
