nobody has been stuck inside except, you know, the people in the hospital sick with COVID19. and their beef with the government should be for implementing countereffective policies in the beginning of this whole thing. donald trump liked to quote the medical saying that the cure should never be worse than the disease. we have another one that goes, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure", and by saying shit like "it's just the flu, it's gonna go away really soon" he is arguably at least in part responsible for all of the economic and social complications that have resulted from COVID. it's beyond idiotic to act like our economy and social lives would all be hunky-dory if we all just pretended the virus wasn't there and went about business as usual. Everyone who is smart and/or not excessively self centered has been and will avoid gatherings and wear masks for as long as COVID remains a significant threat, regardless of whether they are legally allowed/required to do it or not. I started wearing 2 weeks before there was even a recommendation to do so as soon as cases started popping up in my state. even though it made me look ridiculous because nobody else was doing it yet.

do I like wearing a mask. no. Do I like not being able to party? no. Do I like not being able to travel safely? No.

Am I pissed?

you might say that. I'm pissed at covid-19. but more than that, I am sad. I am tired. I want things to go back to normal as much or even more as the anti-shutdown/mask people, I just don't have irrational ideas about how to achieve that normality again like "Let's just pretend there isn't a major pandemic." I try to do my part to make it go away. You're welcome, by the way- when things go back to normal, it won't be because the proud boys scared away COVID-19 with their guns or because the evangelicals prayed it away.

Might they have done that BEFORE congress was interrupted and a lady was shot in the neck and 100's if not 1000's of people probably contacted covid?
