 Is America going to legalize weed? My cannabis stocks are up %14 this morning...   1

I have 5000 shares with the largest Licensed Producer in Canada. The stock went up %14 yesterday.
In fact all the cannabis stocks have taken a %10+ rise.
Is this due to the runoff elections in Georgia? Did Biden get a majority senate? Is Canada gunna start selling to the USA?
I really don’t follow American politics. But I’m now only a few dollars away from capping my investment and cashing out.
What do you ‘Mericans think is gunna happen here?

Im not sure Biden or even a democratic senate would vote to legalize it, but obviously dems are more likely to get it done than the GOP if theyre in charge

If I were you I might want to cash out in the bubble because the entire thing hinges of National Legalization in America.
From what I hear, they plan to "decriminalize" it nationally. But that still won't make it federally legal, OR allow USA to buy from Cananda.
So it's a gamble right now and no one knows.

They’re sitting at $38.14

I think it more so has to do with illinois getting 1 bil of revenue rather than the dems taking the senate

prices will probably rise for the next few years depending on the company, as they consolidate more market and the black market weed networks die out

I missed the boat when they sky rocketed to $70 per share.
The way it works is I’ve been employed with this cannabis giant for 3 years now and after my first year they gave me 5000 shares at $41 as per my contract.
But I was only able to excerxise 1/3 of my shares each year.
This June I’ll have access to all 5000, I’ve currently only got access to 2/3 of the 5000.
When they went up to $70 I was 1 month away from my first round of shares.
Then when I got access to the first 1/3 of the 5000 they had already plummeted to $40 and I couldn’t cash out.
I’m not missing the boat this time, they haven’t been above $40 for over a year.
It’s such a fucking bullshit place to work I was getting chronic lung infections from the powdery mildew they refused to do anything about. So I want the fuck out of this place and I want a stock payout.
Canadian legal weed is a joke. That’s why they plummeted.
The legal market is soooooooo far behind the black market it’s not even a conversation. The legal market products are complete shit and no other country will even want our product cuz our own country doesn’t even want it.
So I need to cash out ASAP.
If they hit $46 I stand to make $25,000.
I gutted my savings being a junkie the last few years and I’m determined to stay clean and use this potential stock money to get set up to buy a house soon.
I have another job set up and ready to take me on for $25/hour cash. Doing delivery for a black market weed dispensary. I was making $1500/week before my surgery last month.
If I can cash out $25,000 from the stocks, then return and get fired so I can get EI (they’ve let-go everyone who’s returned from medical leave the last year), then I work the delivery job for a year; and I’ll have enough for a down deposit on a house and maybe I can get my life on track and stay clean.
