So I got 25x extract of Kavva root. I curious as to how much is needed for sedation and what kinds of administrations are there for it?

I mixed up my bags of etheogens to try, the Kavva is 70x extract.
I tried 1.5gs and felt a slight buzz but could be placebo. Anyone on here try kava before?

Yeah I use it near daily
I find that if I combine kava with other relaxants, that the buzz becomes very strong
Mixing a small amount of thc with cbd, lion's mane, and kava, oh it feels good.
You can take kava concentrates sublingually but it burns a lot because it usually is extracted into ethanol
I mix mine with tea and slowly drink it

Sadly for the short term I have to stick to 6 panel friendly stuff and I'm not risking cbd since is will degrade into THC over time. I'll have to try lions mane, I'm about to have some fruit soon. I have mongolu bark powdered.
I tried about 1/2 a gram of 70x extract and let it sit in some warm ethanol for about 30-45 minutes than drank it, felt a little bit tired but I don't know if I took enough. I tried it a little while later with .5g og the bark and .5g of kavva, felt a little more drowsy but not really the level I was hoping for. My main goal is to not drink till I'm black out drunk to go to sleep.

I would aim to get the tea to basically taste like bark and be that color.
Yeah lion's mane is good for relaxation and isn't tested for
I think combing those two should give you enough of a body buzz to fall asleep with.

oo yeah that's where I'm at. 50mg of CBD, a bit of kava around mid morning and afternoon, a mushroom compound suppment, maybe even a microdose of psilocybe and a bit of weed throughout the day.. I feel so much better. kanna and the other supplements I take help too.
but oh boy it makes for a really calm, wonderful, but not overly sedated at all day to day combo.

I don't know, probably 0mg per gram of material because I literally fell nothing. I ordered a Keaton extract that gets me buzzed but I use to manufacture opiates so obviously I'd feel any opiate agonanist.
I'll email them and ask what the mg by weight is.
PS I've been trying a substance called THP aka Tetrahydropalmatine and I can't tell if it affects me of not. Taking the pure compound and it makes the mitragyne 50x extract fell wild.

700mg per g on the kava. So I took 1400mg and didn't feel much of anything.

they must mean 700mg of straight Kava kava powder.. which is really, really weak. You can take like 5-6g of kava easily for a strong dosage. Which means you'd have to take 8-10 of the capsules to get a real strong experience.

No, they said for the 70x extract powder. It's not in capsules, just powder in a big bag.
Quote:
Kava contains Kavalactones, not alkaloids. They are at a potency if 70%, so 70% of 1000mg would be 700mg per gram.
Copied from their reply back.

Dude there's no way you took 1.4g of kavalactones and felt NOTHING. If I take 400mg, I feel a strong sedation, almost enough to make me dizzy. 700mg would be enough to make me feel sick and have to lay down for a long time. 1.4g would be insane...
You must have a super bunk product.

I talked to someone today who uses Cava daily and was recommended that redosing after 20 minutes is the best way to feel effects. Anybody else have an opinion on this?

Have you tried making a tea out of the root powder? I bought like a pound of the root powder and made the traditional drink a few times. Compared to the extract, the root powder tea is night and day. It just takes a few grams, is really easy to make, and you'll definitely feel it. For me though, it keeps me awake. I can't sleep if I get a proper dose of kavalactones.

I make it in tea form, though you saying I should just do the root powder instead of the extract? I'm going to put in an order for more blue lotus so if you think the straight root would be better I'll try that.

The straight root works better IME. Just soak it in warm water (not boiling) for 10 minutes or so. There's plenty out on the web about preparing the traditional brew.
I think there is a reverse tolerance too. The alcohol extracts did next to nothing for me. Then I experimented with root tea and I knew what to look for with the extracts. I don't know the chemistry of kavalactones. But, it seems like the more processed they are, the weaker they are.
It's been a long time since I did anything with Kava though. I too, was using it to help me fall asleep. But, it had the opposite effect on me. So, I shelved it.
To me, it feels similar to alcohol. But, the mind space is more interesting and introspective. It feels very mildly psychedelic, less so than cannabis. I think the mind space is why it keeps me awake.
I hope you figure out a way to tackle insomnia. It can be a beast.
