Question about Temperature for colonization
    #27127225 - 01/04/21 10:33 PM (3 years, 23 days ago)

I inoculated a couple bags 3-4 weeks ago and still have no sign of colonization. I leave the temp at 70 degrees during the day and turn the temp down to 60 at night because I like it cool. I read that cooler temps might cause the mycelium to colonize slower but is this too cold to colonize at all? Also I leave the bags on top of my dresser with the window blinds closed. It get a little light but isn't completely dark either.

They need a 12/12 light cycle and temps is the mid 70s

Damn hope I didn't ruin them. I guess I'll put them into a room with a space heater

Nah... they shouldn't be ruined..  they just aren't gonna be the fastest, that's all... and once you get to fruiting, the 12/12 light cycle is much more important. During colonization they don't really need any light.
