All my APEs are short fat cocks.
I cloned a larger taller standing APE, but they still came out short lol.

I've learned that APE is much more like a cat... it does what IT wants when IT wants to... lol. My best advice would be look for smaller clusters (3-4 fruits) that are all relatively equal in size and clone from those... ive cloned dozens if not hundreds of good looking, singular fruits that get you nothing but singular fruits. If youre looking for a "canopy" (if you can call it that with these...) I'd be looking at the clusters.

Some clustering APE. Pseudomonas got a foothold but has managed to be halted.

Alright so I'm doing it wrong, got it, instead of taking singular fruits I need to focus on taking a clone of a cluster.
Lets say the base of the cluster? I don't ever expect APE to canopy for me at all LOL.
I just don't want my shoe boxes to have like two clusters per flush, which is what's happening.

This is the most clustered I can get them
The rest of that tub was all pins that seemed to abort shortly after the larger fruits matured.

That would be where I would start... it took me a long while before I started getting consistent clustering.

Deformed fruits like that always come from bacterial contamination to me.

On the upside you get some funky fuckers.

Interesting. I never thought about bacteria causing it. I thought it might be from poorly mixing the spawn and substrate or an environmental factor of some sort. I really don't know but bacteria seems like a plausible explanation.

I'm kind of on the fence about Celltreat.
I don't have enough experience to offer much comparison, but the lids seem larger/looser than the EZ BioResearch brand I started with.
Not noticing any additional contamination, they are just more annoying to handle.
