I went out to my two lucky spots today, but didn't see any activity. I'm hoping they are coming back. Seems like it was dry forever, so I'm happy for this rain. You guys think this weekend will be the best time, since it will be sunny, and about 5 days after the rain started?

As long as the temps stay above freezing.  This storm system should really get the clusters popping especially once things dry out a little.  This weekend should be perfect

Sweet gum/ pine mix on slope. A spot I checked many times last year with no luck and thus neglected to check this season until today.

Popping up under cedar again

Love those spots Evly.  No one around! But very dangerous being on the slopes for 6hrs at a time.  Almost busted my ass a few times.  My legs used to burn, but no more. Haha

Found some more caerulescens in my special spot, right outside a newer neighborhood in north Fulton. I also have a bunch of mushrooms in my backyard that look a lot like gyms, but I don't know as much about them. I would post a pic or two on here, but I'll save it for the identification page.

Mini cubes are pretty fascinating. I wonder why they're so tiny?

Has anyone else ever spore print on shoes, hats, or clothing that you’re wearing while hunting?  I’ve been doing it for a little while.  Dunno if it will help with anything, but I like the idea of everywhere I walk there might be shroomies there later. Haha

Back when I found my first cyanescens I was researching them heavily. Came across this very topic where someone had said they put the prints on their boots. I thought that this was a great idea. It's like the mushrooms having us do their bidding. A true symbiotic relationship haha.
