Use caution!!! Those things will knock your proverbial dick in the dirt if you're not careful haha especially If you've never had an experience. You'll enjoy it though guaranteed!!

Congrats on the find!

Awesome page of finds. FOMO is kicking back in.

Is it worth going out on a dry week to look for new spots? And if so, I assume best chances are for either woodland or well watered lawns?

It really depends... microclimates in shaded areas would be your best bet right now until we get more rain.  More wetness means they will be fruiting more in the open.  Had I not found some in this area before, then I would have totally missed this fat pin.

with the wrong lighting theyre almost impossible to see. saw these two yesterday
although this little guy popped up today i think this spot is about tapped out till we get some more rain its pretty dry and sunbaked out there right now
if i were walking the opposite direction these babies wouldnt have glistened and in the sunlight and i wouldve walked right by them out of about id say a square mile or 2 of terrain thats all i found today. i did pack the place where i grabbed these with some wet mud from a puddle nearby. in ur backyard?!?!? u lucky kat. make sure u water (but dont drown) ur patch in these dry spells and u may be well rewarded

In the past it hasn't really hit it off until late October so I think I was just too early. I'll hit it again next month.
We need some more rain for sure though.

What’s up man??

Yea life has just been really busy this year. I’m glad work is beginning to slow right as prime time really begins for caerulescens. I no longer have the customer with the fields of caerulescens. I am kind of happy I don’t. I was really pushing it on getting caught trying to pick them when I was there. I do miss seeing them however. I don’t miss chopping them up though.

I found a great spot today, but it's directly in the sun, and I'd say 25 clusters are charred to a crisp. I can't wait until it rains again, so I can go check the spot again.
