The lone rangers

The quartet

Heavy rain yesterday evening and I found a single antillarum. High humidity and then scattered showers today and I only found cyanescens.

Nice finds everyone!  More pins from the other day spreading them spores now :sporedrop:

Well it’s more like urban woodland.  Places that have had construction within 10yrs and the surrounding area.  I tend to look for clusters of woods in these types of areas.  I’ve noticed that they really like inclines with young pines, sweet gums, and loads of blackberries.  Always near or at a place where water runs off.  Hope this helps some!

Some habitat shots

The habitat description from Nitro is exactly the type space I’ve had luck in…some neighborhoods up to 15 years old (obviously, the lesser populated neighborhoods are preferred ) But really, I could not have described the habitat from my finds any better.

This has to be one of the most concise paragraphs I've ever read on weilii habitats. Thanks again Nitro! Will definitely be referring back to this in the future

Most definitely! It’s been a few years since I’ve had time to get out and look. None of my old spots are producing so I’m trying to find some new ones outside of my comfort zone. Been out all morning today, striking out so far. Soon enough though, seek and you shall find.

This time last yr people were finding them all over the place.  We had a record amount of rainfall though.  So honestly this month through Nov. should be really good

Yea its calling for more rain up here in Cherokee tonight. I’m off until Saturday, so I’ll be out looking. There’s lots of growth out today, just not what I’m looking for.

dear lord jengus please grant me the restraint to not straight snatch these babies and devour them on site, and to let them mature and flourish so i may have them in the future, and to collect prints so i may spread my good fortune lord. when is a good time for me to harvest them so that i dont harm the lifecycle and keep the patch healthy though?

i have this spot that infrequently only pushes up a single caerulescens fruit at a time in an isolated lone small grass patch thats lined with those cypress, and under those cypress theres usually mushrooms fruiting prolifically but arent caerus and behind that is a like a fenced dense almost jungle pond (ridiculous amounts of spiderweb) that even has a pile where it looks like the landscaper drops all his grass clippings with hay and branches but i only find inactives in and around there. is it likely that it is only that one tiny little spot in the grass that has them, or is it guaranteed that somewhere back in that lil swamp theres some kind of parent spot that pushes fruits galore thats not necessarily in close proximity? id say ive scoured up to around 30-40 yards maybe away from the spot with no luck. so nitro do u tend to stray away from the dense stuff that could hide an elephant only 2 feet away or is that the stuff you dive into head first eating spiderwebs and thorns for breakfast?

I've heard they're 2x as strong as cubes and way more visual. Maybe someone with more experience with these can speak up. I've been curious fresh vs dry. So far I've been collecting prints from all of them and then in the dehydrator they go. They're practically weightless when dried which has me wondering how to accurately dose as well.

I feel like psilocybes are more photogenic. Cyans look like little white circles on some grass and poop lol. But they're what's on the menu here apparently.
