Hell yeah y'all! Nice to know they came here because they wanted to be here. I haven't had a productive season but this one small cube is HUGE to me. I didn't even have to source spores or anything. I was just doing the evening chores. Found just the one. I didn't get a chance to like really hunt for them. I'll probably do some searching tomorrow.
I sure am spore printing this one! Either put back in the water supply here or IDK.

Good stuff, get a print. And put it in the water/ on the hay bales before you feed them

I plan to look around this afternoon after work for more. Seems likely that there'd be more than just one right?

There's been plenty of times I've only found 1, but i doubt there wasn't more, i just didn't see them. Cubes are extremely good at hide n seek.

It was a pleasant surprise when I was least expecting it. And right at dusk so I didn't have time to do a full on search. I'm really just happy that it came naturally. I've said before that I want to provide the right habitat and conditions for these and other species but not necessarily cultivate. So it still feels like hunting to me. I had thought about encouraging by obtaining a spore print and putting it in the water but awesome that I didn't have to begin that way.

Looked around this evening and still just that one. I'm sure to see more at some point. As for putting in the spore print in tbt water is now the best time?

It if you want a good next season, I would. The more spores you can spread, the more theyre bound too start growing. It all needs to germinate/grow in the dung.

man squirrels r the coolest, they eat my pb and j crusts right up! i worry about making them too fat to escape the local hawk. the first time i saw a jet black one while camping in michigan i almost went ballistic. i do have to say the neatest one i ever saw was up in maple valley, washington. sitting out in the woods by myself smoking a bowl and i hear this scraaaw....scraaaaw right behind me and theres this little brown pawed grey coat trend setter being the most vocal squirrel ive ever heard in my life. looked like he had little boots on. in other news i found some actives.....active ass yellow jackets! this one motherfuc*** stung my ass 4 times. i swore i dodged the second sting on my back but nope apparently they only have to barely tap u to fill u with their love juice. those loving little bastards

Allergic over here but not the deathly kind. I swell massively where stung.
This season I've been stung three times. If have used this method to success each time this year.
Grab a plantain leaf. It's the small plant that grows i all over. In fact probably right next to where you're hunting. Chew the leaf up. Rinse the sting with cold water and soap. Spit the plantain pultice out and place on the sting. Wait a while and take it off. For body stings that's all I've done and it works. Finger stings are the worst for me in that case plunge it in ice water after the poultice and wait until it's good and frosty.

Dude the stinging things were bad this year!! Me and the fam were looking for early season chants a month or 2 ago and we had just got our new dog. Well we took his clumsy ass with is, right?.... Well he fell snout first in a hornet nest and boy were they piiiiissssseeeddddd!!! Me and the wife got hit around 10 times each trying to shield the kids and run them out of the woods..... Good times... Good times had by all that day.
