Reishi for sleep - dose

Hi all,
I am currently in the the process of ditching pharma drugs that I have used for years to 'help' my chronic and at times debilitating insomnia, with little effect and often crap side effects. I have depression and anxiety which is dramatically exacerbated by lack of sleep in bad times.
I am trying to research some alternative medicines, and as a mushroom enthusiast, fungus-based medicines is of great interest.
Reishi keeps cropping up as a potential sleep/anxiety aid. There are many vendors claiming to sell high quality 100% fruiting body products, with dual extraction.
As an analytical person who is a naturally skeptic of medicine that isn't officially 'proven' I am trying to gather a good amount of information so i can decide what could be right, and safe, for myself.

I imagine there are many users of Reishi on here, and my questions are:

a) Why do you take it?
b) How much do you take in grams, and at what time?
c) What form/brand do you use?

Also - I am also about to give microdosing liberty caps a go, taken in the morning, following James Fadiman's protocol. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of whether or not the combination of Reishi mushroooms and psilocybin is a bad one or not?

I've not really noticed reishi helping with sleep. I take about 2.5 mgs of 1:1 cannibis edibles and I'm out like a light for several hours

Thanks mate. There seems to be many people claiming it helps them sleep better. As well as being listed as a traditional Chinese medicine for sleep. There are others like you, that say otherwise. Worth a shot i reckon!
My insomnia literally drives me to the edge of wanting to live, regularly. I've nothing to lose in trying.
