Penis envy fruiting problems

I have 2 tubs I made 50/50 verm and coco coir. To 1 quart spawn each tub was 14 quarts. One is pinning but barely showing any signs after about a month in the tub. The other one finished colonizing a month ago and hasn't fruited at all and has been in the martha for about a month. It looks dry and I tried to dunk it to hopefully get some pinning and nothing. Just curious if it's just having more patience or if the one cake is dead and the other one needs more time. https://files.shroomery.org/files/21-001/974407923-Polish_20210104_020657296.jpg

That's a really long time to wait for pinning. For coir/verm I would use closer to a 70/30 ratio in favor of coir, personally, but I don't think that's the problem here.
Are you misting these at all? Evaporation is just about the most important pinning trigger aside from full colonization. The first pic, the substrate looks pretty good. The second, not quite so much, but still workable. I usually get pinning within a week of spawning. I couldn't tell you what about my method ensures that as a predictable timeline, but I tend to err toward being too dry and compensating with misting, knowing that I'm facilitating an evaporative cycle.
I would give the first one a good misting, and dunk the second one for about an hour. Then maybe dial slightly more in favor of FAE than humidity. If it's gonna fruit at all, ever, that should do the trick.

I'm not misting at all. I have an ultrasonic fogger in a tub filled with water and a fan hooked to it to blow in the fog. I just realized my atomizer in the fogger went out. Maybe thats my problem. But I will start misting my cakes. I might also need to cut back on my fan because it is constantly on. Thanks a ton. That fruiting cake just got moved into the martha the other day.
