Mid-30's and going through a rough split up with a kid in the middle. Had to put a missing person's report out on him shortly before this.
I live across the country so it's just a lot of trying to figure out what is going on.

Really sorry to hear that Grinch. I hope everything works out for you and your family.

I've been building my illegal garage for most of the morning and just got back from a supply run to get 2x4's, 2x6's, plywood, electrical stuff, and gardening stuff. Even got a blueberry bush that they didn't charge me for and I don't feel too bad about it because I spend a shit ton of money there and the least they could do is give me a couple blue berries. It's a "Pink Lemonade" variety. Sounds tasty.

Now I'm watching a documentary on "The Comedy Store." Pretty good after 1 episode. I also got Fargo season 4, Moonbase 8, Leftovers Season 3, Wonder Woman 1984, and Your Honor with Bryan Cranston. Now I just need some free-time which is very hard to come by for me.

When the Pandemic first hit I thought I would have nothing but free time and it seems that I have actually been busier than ever.

Like I said, It's not meant to be a cure all. Just a suggestion that I think would help him out and he can take it or leave it. A lot of what I said would definitely help. If he goes to talk to someone one of the first things that they're going to ask him is if he gets exercise and I know that after I've been busting ass all day then when I get home all tired and shit that it makes my problems seem less significant. My problems aren't hearing voices, but it helps me with depression and that kind of thing which is sorta similar. He even said that it bothers him most when he is trying to relax, so obviously staying busy, both mentally and physically, would help.

Do you have a suggestion that might help him or anything to add, or are you just here to criticize?

Always good to get some exercise but I don't think holding down a job is practical in that kind of state. Gopher seems to be right that none of those drugs are antipsychotics. Instead it looks like they are used for anxiety. None of us is a doctor though. So maybe a second medical opinion?

I was watching what I assume was the same Comedy Store documentary. Pretty interesting how that one venue was kingmaker for the whole industry pretty much.

Your Honor is pretty good so far, haven't seen the newest one yet. Fargo season 4 didn't really grab me from what I've seen so far.

clozapine is supposed to suppress suicidal urges and anger and delusional bahavior, but it's so sedating that i get tired instantly like im going to bed soon anyway.  but this fucking voice is still pissing me off and i cannot escape it's jealous kissing with my deep anger and i wish i could cut it out so it wont bother me anymore.  my soul is trapped and i envy pulling it in closer to it's shell instead of being far way but i cannot believe that rejection of me as my nevy is too high.  it fucking pisses me off when it triggers my angry feeling in between shell and soul where it kisses and causes revengeful reactions that it loves doing this and loves everything i do that i hate doing and that difference i could kill it :frown:  :fuckthisshit:

Dude I had a blast. Didn't want the fun to end. I backed to backed it -- a half tab of 1P the day before NYE and then another half tab plus a blotter of L on NYE. Lots of drinks flowing and lots of food. Stayed up til the sun came up on New Year's Day. I was bummed when it finally ended because it was basically 48 hrs of partying with a sleep session in between.

But man I was freaking completely and utterly spent after. I spent all of Jan 1st and 2nd recovering. Just laying around and only getting up to eat (which I did a lot of to say the least, lol).

I finally got myself out of my place today for the first time in 2021

How about you, Boomer?? How was your New Year's Eve and New Year's Day?

Were there other antipsychotics that they tried before clozapine ShroomedOcean?

I also didn't suggest that he try to get employment. I suggested that he goes to neighbors houses and door to door asking if they have yard work or anything that needs to be done. When I was 10 and needed money that is how I made it. I would shovel driveways for $5 to $10, rake leaves, move junk, or whatever they had. Exercise and contributing to your neighborhood/society will definitely help though and so will having some money. If his mood becomes positive than I am willing to bet that the mood of the voices he hears will also become positive.

Kind of interesting though. I wonder why people never get voices that tell them to exercise. And voices that tell them to start companies, work hard, feed the homeless, and volunteer at the shelter. The voices always seem to be negative and nagging. Maybe a reflection on the way the person is feeling.

Some podcasters and comedians that I listen to talk about "The Comedy Store" so I'm interested to learn the history. For sure a lot of famous people got their start there. There is also a place that was in Philly, I think, that had a similar following.

I heard the same about Fargo. Love the series so I will give it a go.

I loved season 1 of The Deuce and tried season 2. Might have spent too much time  time between seasons and couldn't get back into it. I hope that doesn't happen  with Leftovers because that show was great. It's been like 3 years since I watched season 2.

Someone experiencing severe psychosis is lucky not to be homeless themselves. Or worse. This is life and death stuff. I think the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps and contribute to society" stuff is 100% misplaced here. The psychosis has to be dealt with first.

No, it's definitely 110% not misplaced. Like I said, it's not meant to be a cure all and it's the best and I believe the only advice/suggestion that anyone here has given him. It's a way to start dealing with the issue instead of just complaining about it. You gotta start somewhere and really what are the downsides to my advice?

He knows he needs to talk to a professional and seek medication or guidance. This is something he can do until then or in addition to that. I don't see why you guys care so much. He knows he doesn't have to take my suggestion and probably won't, but I think it would be helpful so I offered it up.

If I needed help and someone thought they had good advice then I would at least want to hear it and consider it. Geeeeze Loiuse

Any examples come to mind of people with uncontrolled psychosis who bettered themselves with yard work? Just does not really seem applicable to this situation. I don't really feel like continuing this though, I've said what I think about it.

Trying not to look for a fight on this but the "just complaining about it" thing really rubs me the wrong way. I am glad that ShroomedOcean has this place to vent. It's frustrating to hear that things have been going this way for them for some time, seemingly without improving, and that nobody has been able to offer any advice that solves the situation. And maybe I am wrong about your advice for all I know. But I can only imagine what kind of an ordeal it is to actually experience what ShroomedOcean is describing, day in and day out. It must take a lot of strength just to survive that.

Yea, I dunno man. Sure would be nice if "go do some yardwork" was a solution... I just kinda doubt it.
