"farm grown" cubes in the PNW edit: also is this mold?

Hey guys found a new mushroom dealer, selling ounces of golden teachers for 100 CAD.
I asked if they were picked from a field or dealer grown and he says they were grown on a farm.
I thought cubes can't grow in the wild in the pacific north west?
How likely is cross contamination of another species of mushrooms that are toxic to my liver?
Edit: Added pics in my gallery, also I found some spongey white stuff, and I searched the rest of the bag and I found it once more, this time connected to a stem

how old are u? at any rate yes mushrooms are cultivated en masse like any grow op indoor..
very unlikely to find feild harvested wild shrooms for sale wild will never/shouldnt be called golden teachers either. so really want cultivated or farmed.
be careful arent weird looking black and somewhat reputable person, but cant give advice on if "ok"... bruised blue. look like dried cubensis found on this site?

I understand these can be grown outside on a farm I am just wondering if theres a chance of toxic mushrooms of other species that can wind up on that farm and get picked without being noticed?

Have you considered that a ‘farm’ could also be indoors?
Your mushrooms look fine, enjoy them!

napoleon.. they are grown indoors in large grow tub environments. they aren't grown outdoor on a farm, there are indoor farms for everything.
and in the PNW, cubensis are grown indoors. discussion over.

So I messaged the guy and said they were in fact grown and picked from a field.
How safe is that?

It is safe but he is lying so that you can't tell someone else "he is growing mushrooms". It is lying out of self preservation or protecting a source close to them, which no one can blame them for but they are definitely not grown in a field in the PNW. For one, they are cleaner even than a lot of indoor mushrooms. Also the only places you will get commercial quantities of field cubensis are in the Gulf Coast. So essentially anywhere too far from Florida, Georgia, or Texas is very unlikely to receive anything wild.

Dude those are cubes and they were not grown outside. Dealer friend is a typical dealer who doesn't know shit. Another interesting hypothesis is indeed that the "farm" is a room in dealer's house facing the PNW.

Registered for 5 years and still not able to grow shrooms himself.
For those 100 bucks you can litterally grow kilos of mushrooms within a month.

I know Pandemoon; wifey left me a few months ago after a really fruitful and productive lock down. So for safety, I’ve just had to ditch over a kilo of dried cubensis, 55g psilocybin extract, a few hundred grams worth of frozen fresh cubensis tea, and spore prints.
Fortunately I’ll be back up and running in weeks 👍🏻 (Hid a few to tide me over )
