In 2021 I think someone saying theyre a brony is WAY more of a threat to society than someone saying theyre a nazi. Theyre both larping but one of them has a boner dangerously close to children.

1.2 firearms per capita, but that amount is owned by a third of the population.
Guess which third.

That wouldnt work with open carry. The mark would realize hes being set up to get shot.
All due respect Asante, you don't live in the US. You don't live in a country where there are 1.2 firearms per capita, and the attitudes that implies. The concept of how you think it *should* work, isn't how it usually works in practice.
Open carry requires zero training and zero classes. Nothing at all, any idiot with two brain cells to rub together and a handgun can carry it around on his or her hip.
Conceal carry, where I live, requires a county background check, fingerprinting, and passing an 8 hour class that involves education about safety, gun laws, and whether you can actually hit a target.
Witgh open carry I refer to the practice of openly carrying a firearm, not the regulation that, I agree, realyshould go along with that.

All you gotta do is arm all your passengers,Then your airlines, then they wouldn’t have to search the passengers on the ground no more. They just pass out the pistols at the beginning of the trip, and they pick ’em up again at the end. Case closed.

I'm assuming you mean conservatives, but I don't know how accurate that is. I'm liberal-leaning and I have 5 firearms.

If any point of the gun sticks out of where you are concealing(like pokes out but is still covered under the material but you can still tell it's part of a gun) that is called printing and some cc only states wont allow printing :/
No printing, just a big brown box on my hip with webbing straps. It looks the same whether there's a gun in it our not. It can hold a full size 1911 without printing. It just has an obvious military/militant vibe to it. Would have preferred ponies.
Also, They're trying to pass permitless carry in my state.
Ah then you are good to go

Witgh open carry I refer to the practice of openly carrying a firearm, not the regulation that, I agree, realyshould go along with that.
That makes more sense to me. However, I have to say that to me, a firearm showing is someone broadcasting that they can and will take whatever altercation may happen to it's ultimate limit. Even as a multiple gun owner, it makes me nervous seeing open carry. I have no idea whether that person plans to use it, I have no idea if that person CAN use it accurately and safely (understanding what is behind their target and not just spraying rounds randomly) and I don't trust anyone who feels the need to broadcast the fact that they are armed.
With conceal carry, there is still a gun involved, but not displayed. 99.999% of grocery store runs or restaurant meals do not end with the person who is open carrying drawing or discharging their firearm. Why not have all the people that person interacts with during those 99.999% activities feel less nervous around them?

Open carry makes as much sense as someone conceal carrying their gun, but every single person they see they walk up to and tell them "I have a handgun on me, I'm prepared to use it, I just wanted you to know". It's pointlessly hostile.

If its possible in the Congo to coexist with the fact that there are people walking around with AK's, why shouldn't it be possible in the US?
Most people who would openly carry a gun would be far more defensive than offensive.
Most gunowners, and most people in general, are ok.
Its the 5% of offenders doing 95% of the crime who are the problem.

Firstly, I don't think the child-soldiers of the Congo is where we should be taking our cues from as far as gun safety is concerned.
Again, no disrespect, but you don't live here. You don't see a family of maskless people in Home Depot in confederate flag tank tops and jeans strutting around with Glocks, staring people down and daring anyone to say something. I saw that last month.
You are projecting a society that you wish existed, not one that exists. Did those people kill anyone while I was there? No, they didn't. Did they make a whole bunch of people uncomfortable and nervous for no reason at all except that they want to feel like Billy Badasses? Absolutely.
Life is hard enough right now for everyone, and they want to puff your lack of a chest out and make everyone around them nervous? Make the hapless greeter at the door who doesn't get paid enough to confront their stupid ass anyway fear for his life even more because they aRe A PaTrIoT?? They're worthless trash and that's all there is to it.

I forgot that, unlike in The Congo, Americans have antisocial culture.
A large segment of your population, if given half a chance, shits on everyone as their version of the American dream. Plenty of you guys would rather see a million countrymen die than pay a nickel of tax more.
The way you handled COVID, the Congo did that better too.

ROBIN WILLIAMS was a terrible comedian, in the sense that his manic bullshit usually didn't make me laugh or smile, but felt like more of a disturbing glimpse into the scatterbrain of a fucking nutbag. He was fine as the Genie in Aladdin and some of his more serious roles that could play to his strengths (i.e. not constant "comedy"), but by-and-large I can't stand his fucking lunatic gibbering. It reeks of desperation; maybe that's a callous thing to say given that he offed himself, but I've always had that impression even as a kid before I could put it to words.
"Hook" isn't magical, it's weird. Actually, I feel I could replace "Hook" with anything that isn't Aladdin and it would apply. Even stuff like "Mrs Doubtfire" which is apparently his Magnum Opus, but especially shit like "Popeye," "Bicentennial Man" and "Patch Adams". I can always think of somebody who could fit a given role better than him, and think that his cringe-y presence is the biggest factor in his movies being such duds.
I was pretty shocked how much people lauded him after he killed himself. If you think he's truly great, try watching 5 or so of his movies as a marathon and tell me you can still tolerate him.
To top it off, he's notorious for having stolen jokes during his stand-up career. I get that it can be hard when you're onstage and maybe don't have your transplanted-gibbon brain screwed on properly...maybe it just comes out with the fucking coked-up jabbering, I dunno. He was awful.

He's gotten pretty stale, but he was the only thing keeping SNL alive after the 92-93 roster went their separate ways. Robin Williams is the real deal, he was never any good.
