The big cryptocurrency thread on 'Money Matters' is well on it's way to becoming what those brosefs always wanted: a safe space for those with similar delusions.

As long as those delusions lead to net gain, I can see why they do it. And it does seem so. If you match Geokills crypto picks, by and by so far, you generally net a profit.

Maybe. My point is that they are enforcing a narrow view for discussion and quite likely an ultimately dangerous one.
It's a given that investment manias, and especially Ponzis, seemingly produce profits until they don't. I hope I'm wrong, but they and others around the world might just be fooling themselves. Reliably winning these games is harder than most imagine.

Steak tastes better with A1 sauce. The tanginess of the sauce goes splendidly well with the steak. Akin to the famed pb & j sandwich.

Death is natural. We should stop trying to prop up the planet. Put a do not resuscitate tag on it. Let's destroy this place!

I don't have children either but, I want humanity to get better and better as a species, in harmony with its environment, first the earth, then the solar system, then the galaxy, or beyond.

I disagree. Children are the future.
We exist to take good care of them.

Plus, when was the last time you cleaned that ice machine, sport?

Hey Asante, I read your other post about your stance towards the next generation and the plights that they’re facing and it’s very admirable. Sure there’s some rotten onions in the bunch but luminarys such as yourself remind me and the rest of us that the world isn’t too bad and that there’s still good people left.

Thank you R34!
At my age, 48, you are of the age that historically, you used to be one of the Village Elders, because people didnt live all that long.
At that developmental stage, advanced adulthood, you have a very clear choice: either you take conscious effort to leave a better tribe/world than you entered, or you are part of the problem and become a bitter, despairing, greedy old man.
Either you become an Elder, and in death a venerated ancestor tending to the flock, or you wallow in selfpity and greed and in death you melt away to give way to something more virtuous. Not my belief but, thats traditional.
I want to go even further than that and that is to say that if you look at the evidence, that most people believe their younger years were the best years of their life, that it is clear where Divinity's priorities lie, towards creation more so than destruction, and, therfore, that ADULTS EXIST FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING A SAFE SECURE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE YOUNG ONES.
When you get older you see that either we take our role as stewards of the world and guardians of youe young ones seriously, and thus your focus shifts onto what You Can Do For The Community, or you dig yourself into an ever deeper hole of selfishness looking for that biggest diamond, until the hole caves in and becomes your grave.
"Me! Me! Me!" is only adorable if you're Beaker of the Muppets, its a piss poor attitude for an older adult.
And then.. Then you're on your death bed.. Then you are at the morgue, then what?
We generally mark a person’s moment of death as when their heart stops beating. Many scientific studies investigating post-mortem tissue work on the assumption that everything stops when we die. However, a small but growing body of research is revealing plenty of cell activity and gene expression going on in the hours and days after a person’s death.
And then what huh?
Did you leave a Lambo with spinning rims in the garage, paid for by the Community or did you help the Community ahead?
What then huh?
Most of the worlds spiritual traditions and a whole lot of Near Death Experiences agree on what comes next...
The reckoning. The balance of your life is made, either before a God or before YOU as the ultimate authority.
You came forth out of the Universe, Neutral, and did and didnt do a lot of things that skewed the balance towards who you were in life. In death, that skew unskews itself ontil you are Neutral again.
The Reckoning.
How will you go into the unknown?
What do you really want to leave behind?
Life's all about WE.
We owe our existence to the Community Helping each other helps yourself too. Together we are stronger?
The message I put on my 3 water wells in Africa
Not virtue signalling but a call, to All, towards Virtuous endeavors!
WE is ALL OF US.
Its you and me but most of all its YOU.
What will YOU do for ALL OF US?
Make your mark!
Get set!
GO!

In America, at 48 you're already getting junk mail from AARP, and some stores start giving "senior discounts" at 50.

I don't know how unpopular it is, but my opinion is that people who open carry are total assholes who don't do it to "be the good guy with the gun", but instead open carry only to intimidate others because they are such insecure pussies.

I would find it helpful if Nazis wore the red armband of their political affiliation on their sleeves, for basically the same reason as they had the Jews wear the Star of David.
