I've heard of this. I think BPA in food and drink containers may be part of why we have so many confused young people these days I think teaching self acceptance was an important thing commonly taught when I was younger. Artificially changing your outside never seems to work when trying to fix feelings of the mind. Self acceptance and working to improve yourself thru healthy means such as exercise and personal care are the best ways to improve confidence and well being Also, fuck social media and they way it mind fucks it's users (except Shroomery of course)
Completely agree. Completely.

I wish my parents & teachers promoted self-acceptance, and taught me how to combat the common emotional disturbances associated with self-loathing.
One big problem with labeling children as ADHD, bipolar, oppositional defiant disorder, antisocial disorder, depression, anxiety, (and on and on) is that pathologizing kids ignores their lack of skills, such as emotional regulation. These so called "medical diagnoses" can inhibit parents and teachers from discovering the real issues. Once adults view a child as having a neurological biological defect, they often simply embrace the belief that's just how things are.

Labels disable, most definitely and emotional regulation is an important factor too
We live in a world of "Oh you felt a (so called) negative emotion? Well here, we've got a pill for that!"

Yeah, it's more about selling pills than anything else. As usual, unfettered capitalism is the culprit.

That's very true. There is very little money is making someone healthy but billions to be made of keeping people sick
Remember, you care about your own health more than your doctor does and doctors are puppets so be careful with how much you look to them for help

UO There isn’t going to be a recession. I’m tired of hearing about it. Everyone who says the words recession. Kind of raises the chance of a recession happening by .002%. Stop willing it to happen, and run actual news stories please.

That’s only an UO because it’s pretty much a certainty that we’re about to see another major market crash like we saw in 2008. Unless you think houses can triple in value every 5 years like clockwork.

I don’t own a house. I can’t wait for the housing market to burst again. I hope that doesn’t cause a recession. But that is very reasonable.
What is unreasonable is that nobody can afford to buy a house in my country anymore. The bubble better burst soon. We also need to outlaw crap like Blackstone. Otherwise there’s no way that the housing market is going to get better.
They have been talking about the recession for the last four years. It feels like at least. I’m tired of it. Next time I want to hear about a recession is the week before it happens.🤣
This is more of a collective effort to not have a recession happen. If we all just stop talking about it. I honestly do feel like the chances of it happening go down. If a bunch of people keep de-investing from the economy because of an “impending recession” That is moving us closer to recession every time that stupid stuff happens.
It’s almost a self-fulfilling prophecy. People try to get ready for the recession. They go out and buy all of the toilet paper in Costco. Then they cause a recession.

UO Football is only played with your feet.🤣
I think we need to stop being so difficult to get along with on the world stage. We should probably just stop calling our version of football that. We could come up with a way cooler name than that anyways.

UO Every country that has you driving on the right side of the street. Should start having us drive on the left side of the street.
Honestly, it just feels like we’re trying to get people in car accidents by having some countries drive in the opposite direction.
I think we should all drive on the same side of the street to prevent a lot of future car accidents.

UO I hate Fahrenheit. I think our country should be teaching Celsius and stop being one of 14 countries in the world that uses Fahrenheit. If you look at the list of countries. It doesn’t put us in very good company. That should be enough of a motivation to not use this system anymore.
Also, I like talking to people in other countries. It just makes it more difficult that we have to use different systems for temperature.

I hate celcius. The ranges for normal temperatures is too small. Only 0-100. Fahrenheit has a larger range of numbers so it's easier to get an exact number. From 32-212F. Much larger range.
I look at celcius and every temperature LOOKS like it's fucking cold. But the number for F make sense. The smaller numbers are cold, the average numbers are room temperature, and the higher temperatures are HOT.
Celcius is too scientific, along with kelvin. I would only want to use celcius if I"m doing a chemistry calculation.
