I'm sure colonialism spread it around a bit, if that's what you're asking

I suppose I wonder. If races stop existing because everyone just had sex with each other. As an added effect of that. Nobody would have any lactose intolerance anymore, right?

Do races actually exist though? I thought someone determined that, with a few exceptions, the genetic variation between races was no more significant than the variation between members of the same race.

I was just wondering if because one group of people has developed a very strong tolerance to lactose. And one group of people doesn’t have any tolerance to it. If they all just had babies together. Their babies would be able to use cheese, right? Or is the inability to process lactase the dominant gene?
(it doesn’t help that I’m watching Paramount+. And they keep playing this commercial. Where this girl dressed like a zombie keeps ripping a fat fart. Which keeps making me think that she has lactose intolerance.)😂

I don't know that there is strong selective pressure one way or the other anymore.

Yeah and I'm pretty sure lactose intolerance is a bad way to describe it as that is actually supposed to be normal......that being said I'm part of the milk drinking tribe, I freaking love milk and ice cream lol

It always makes me feel bad when I find out. Because I always have so much dairy product in my house. 😂 mostly aged cheese. That was my big go to before I got on the MOA diet.

Science direct says that intolerance is recessive. Lactase persistence is dominant.

Thats awesome news. There will be less and less lactose intolerant people. Until it is something that only affects a very small percentage. And then it won’t exist at all. That’ll be many generations in the future, of course. But still that’s awesome.

North Korea will be the last bastion of the lactose intolerant. "No breed with foreigners!"

UO People should stop ordering chocolate milkshakes and try a different flavor every time.
Have any of you ever had a pineapple, or piña colada flavored milkshake?

Humans aren't really supposed to drink other animal's milk. At birth, we don't have the ability to digest lactose but then we start drinking milk which gets us "used" to it. People who don't drink milk as a child continue to be lactose intolerant. People who are not lactose intolerant just have a high tolerance for lactose.

If, by "high tolerance" you mean that they produce the specific enzyme (lactase) required to digest lactose, then yes, that is correct.

Uh, source? Your gut produces an enzyme that allows lactose to be digested. I don't know what you mean by ""used"" to it.
