Living situation for mush cult
    #27121797 - 01/02/21 10:17 AM (3 years, 4 months ago)

I live in a crack house because the landlord is cool with hosting a shroom op, but the place sucks. No central heating, rodent issues, constant mess, sketchy visitors, not ideal. I haven't lived many places, I'm pretty young, but I'm not sure how I can keep doing what I'm doing in another spot. I'm worried if I rent a house that the owner will come by and look around occasionally. The current plan is to save some money and put a down payment on a house, do it there. This of course is super expensive. Anyone have advice or experience? Please share. Thanks!

most rental agreements do not permit the landlord to come inside the unit without 24-48 hour notice to tenant unless for emergencies like a water line break or something extreme. if your grow op can fit into a closet then just install a lock on the closet door. there is no reason a landlord will need to check your closet. ive lived in my latest apartment almost 3 years and never have had my landlord come in. they send maintenance goons to fix stuff and those guys dont give a shit what u have in your apartment. i have pets and my lease says no pets.

good luck finding a place.

most trailer parks have home trailers for sale under $50k so that isnt too expensive but your also paying lot rent. so basically you will own the home, not the land. the landlord cannot enter your home without permission but you do have to protect yourself and dont sell drugs out of your home or have anything suspicious going on outside that will cause concern.

well you could convert the bedroom into your grow op in a new apartment. theres really no reason for the landlord to ever go in to your bedroom. and as long as your home, which i always am when i need maintenance to come in, then you can make sure no one goes in there.

Don't live in a crackhouse dude. That is fucked.

Rent a shitty one bedroom apartment, as the other posted said put a lock on the door, if they need in politely explain that will be just fine amd to come back in 24 hours required by law.

It's a good idea to know about laws so when/if people try to pull stuff on you you can send them them codebook with the page number of they're confused about the law.

I'm not saying be a stickler for rules because that may give them a reason to want to fuck with you but where it counts just draw the line.

Barring acts of God the worst case sinario you're looking at is you'll have to hide/move your stuff on short notice which is just something that comes with the territory.

You can most definitely grow in apts or houses, most people don't care, maybe they'll check once a year.

Pay rent on time (early), keep neighbors happy, keep the yard kept, don't give anyone a reason to give you a hard time.

And if you're talking about six tubs and some supplies well all that can fit on one shelf with a tapestry thrown over it, can look them dead in the eyes while they look around the room for damage, what are they gonna do, search your things?

More than likely people don't want to be bothered or else do not care what you are doing, they're consumed with whatever it is that's going on in their life.

But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go
If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow
That it's one thing to try and another to fly
You get there quicker just a step at a time
It's one thing to bark, another to bite
The show ain't over till you pack up at night

:whathesaid:

Growing shrooms isn't like growing weed indoors. It's not going to generate an obvious odor or give itself way. Rent an apartment or a house. There will be a rental agreement that outlines when and why they can enter your residence, and typically they need to give you 24-48 hours barring emergencies, such as a burst pipe or something. If you're renting from an agency, they're going to have so many tenants they won't give a shit about you as long as you pay rent on time and respect the property. If you're renting from some person who just owns a couple houses they rent out to college kids, they're more likely to snoop around the property, but again, a shroom operation isn't going to be easily detectable. When my landlord is coming by to fix something at my apartment, I just close the door to my closet where my tubs and incubator are located, and tuck any smaller stuff into a drawer.

I hope you manage to work out a better living situation soon, Vinci.

Best solution is to find an agency, and rent through them. Ask low-key from where are the owners, and where are they located now. Many owners are usually abroad or in another state/city, that's why they authorised agency to rent for them in the first place. Agency could care less if you synthesize meth in there, they just want you to pay the rent on time. Do that, and you are good.

If you want to avoid agency, make a deal with new landord of one date in month when they will come to collect the rent and also check that everything is fine. No other time is acceptable. That will give them inner peace and suppress the urge to sniff and spy on you. Act innocent and law abiding.

That said, landlords are curious little rats and will often disturb you and sniff around. Buy 15$ hidden camera and software, and record your rented house. Every day check for disturbance in footage recorded when you are not at home. They have second key and they could come to check their property. You can confront them about it and leave immediately if you find out they are sniffing. Do that for at least 10 days before setting up shroom op. Also you could use other intrusion gadgets. Always check for any disturbance. If you don't want to buy a camera make little traps which will tell you about possible intrusion.

When rent collection date comes, make sure everything disappeares/is hidden and their house looks perfect. Keep it clean to avoid suspicion.

Hell yeah family! Thanks for the advice. I can't believe I've lived here for so long, I just have no rental experience.

Anything written in this comment is my own and is in no way connected to or representative of shroomery in any form or fashion,  my comments are my own!!!!

Anytime you do something illegal and other people know, you're taking a huge risk. If, you are serious about owning your own home,  I recommend finding a rent to own property or for sale by owner. That's how I bought my first house, just don't settle for anything so you can have a place,  be sure to have it inspected before committing to anything and don't use anyone associated with the seller to perform any inspections or you will regret it. Lots of people trying to get rid of worthless property and you don't want to be a victim.

As far as renting is concerned,  stay away from apartments because maintenance people will be your biggest concern.  Renting a home is much better in my opinion and you have a few more legal protections than you would in an apartment.  I have known a few people that were arrested because of nosey maintenance workers.
Renting to own will give you the same protection as if you are the owner!!! However,  if you are leasing or renting only, it depends on what your contract says as to whether or not the owner has to give notice, as well as what is written in state law.

The only time I've ever known renters to get into trouble is when they're in an apartment or the landlord lives really close or they receive a notice that maintenance is coming and they fail to hide their stuff before maintenance arrives. Unless of course there's a fire or waterleak that sends fire rescue
or maintenance in without notice.
