Moisture / flips lids on 6qt Sterlite w/purple handles?

I spawned 10 days ago. Substrate fully colonized & looked ready so I decided to introduce FAE yesterday. My question is this: I'm using the 6qt Sterlites with purple handles. I felt like my boxes need more FAE than would be provided by simply unlatching the lids, since there are small beads of moisture everywhere. But when I unlatch & flip the lids, there's an open crack on the narrow ends of the shoeboxes due to the indentation from the handle. Wondering if this is too big a crack to the outside world? Curious what others who're using this type of Sterlite do. Attaching picts so also curious how it looks & thoughts on surface moisture. Thanks!

What you mean too big to the outside world? ` If it dries out than it's letting too much fae and you should adjust for that. ` If you're worried about mold, don't be. Once your spawn is colonized, you just need to be clean and mix with substrate(prepped right). It's already been exposed to contams, you won't make it worse.
Tub looks ok, I think you didn't use a top layer? Little beads like that is what you want, but the rising ropey myc is either cause it's wanting a little more air or a little bacteria reaction.

Sorry for the imprecise wording -- I wasn't referring to contaminants, meant FAE. I was mainly wondering if people who use this model of Sterlite shoebox usually flip the lids or just unlatch, given the way these lids are constructed. I'm also curious for opinions on the surface conditions of the substrate. (It's my first time doing a shoebox so trying to get it right). Thanks.

And yes, there's a top layer. I did a .5 inch casing with a verm/peat moss/lime/gypsum mix.

I have a pretty similar style box that i've flipped the lid on and it seemed fine. Usually i go for a second bottom to dub tub it.
Oh you did use a top layer? Nice. That myc chewed right through it. Keep it up, you look pretty good man.

Thanks! Appreciate it. I have extra bottoms -- do you think dubbing it would be better than leaving the lid flipped? Would the additional space somehow help with FAE & the ropey myc?

I don't think there's a huge difference at this point. I only do it because they'll get taller than the lid and you'll want to give them more space then. A bag or another bottom will work. I just like going straight to the double bottom(dub tub) when i wanna open up the air a bit, if i don't need to stack on them.
