butt infection? did ya snap any pics? At a patch that fruited from a large mulch pile for me, some had discolored caps. For example:
Left the worst of the bunch though some of the ones picked did have a brown spot here or there. Didn't think much about it initially but perhaps i should pass on them.

I just thought I would pop in to say there were still some to be found in the DC area as of Saturday morning.
With the rain recently I'm hoping for this coming week as well. Only time will tell.

Last time I ran into someone hunting fat dude pulled up in white van, thought it was the cops then him, his girl, and five kids jump out and start filling up empty mtn dew boxes
Went out today and saw pins going mad looking like another big flush in next few days

Those are pretty shrooms and that vegetation is full on.
I don't think ours is quite there yet. It's been raining again and I'll be back near my spots for the summer, so I'm excited to get back out again. Don't think the season is over despite some people harping on that.
