Found these growing in my yard today possible pan subs

a. Habitat: Illinois/South Burbs of Chiago/Chemlawn fertilized lawn
b. Characteristics of the gills:Lightish to darkish brown color gill
c. Measurements of cap and stem: varied alot, usuallt 1/2 and inch cap to 1 & 1/2 inch stem
d. Characteristics of the stem (brown, smooth, hollow, thin)
e. Characteristics of the cap (dark brown on the egdes to light brown on the nipple, smooth with nipple, nipple shape)
f. Spore print color: looking to be a dark color not fully done yet
g. Color that the mushroom bruises: mushroom doesnt bruise
h. Scent of mushroom: has a very distint weak odor

the light made the gills and the stem lighter than they actually are

Most likely P. Foens. If the gill is truly brown you got nothin', especially without any other signs, really. Sorry but keep trying!

Dude, they're not Coprinus. Thats the 2nd misidentification I've seen from you tonight. Please refrain from giving advice if you don't know what you're talking about.

As far as the mushrooms go. They really look like Panaeolus sp. mushrooms as far as cap and stem go, but the gill color looks all wrong. Spore print is going to be what determines these mushrooms' ID.

Looks much like Panaeolus sp. not sure which one. P. Foens. defininently have brown-brownish gills P. Subb. does not. But if there are white fringes on the gills and it bruises blue, have fun because it is active; this does not match these at all so my guess is...

Keep in mind that not all P. subbs will bruise blue.

some people say they contain some very very small amounts of psilocybin, but they are pretty much useless in that aspect. sorry.

They contain serotonin. I ate 200 once and it felt like 200mg 5-HTP.
