lets discuss our experiences on mushrooms regarding the ego

Hello fellow people
Blessed be the sacred mushroom for it guides us and rejuvinates our spirits.
Just wanted to say that for starters, because I had quite a religious feeling trip today.
And now onto the topic.
I arrived in peace with unity. No objects for me to have an idea of myself were in my mind. It sure feels liberating to lose temporarily your old ego with all its memories that made it wounded. Is the path to salvation from ego-derived suffering to let go of all that which feels like baggage, and be in the center of your consciousness?
Is God that which has no idea of himself?
Maybe what I mean by God is just liberation and bliss. And it can be arrived at by losing all those ideas of self and being in the now in the center of consciousness.
I visualised in my trip mazes of different geometrical shapes circles, squares, hexagons. It felt like the symbolic message of these shapes in my mind was to guide outwards from the center into a totality of being self. They were symbols of what was going on in me and I followed with my concentration into the center. I did breathwork as well and held my breath for what felt like a very long time.
This was on 2.3g of cubes after what felt like not a strong trip at all.
It always feels like there is great healing in arriving at that state where you feel new, reborn. And it can be very desirable to get there again.
songs that felt like were symbolic to that blissful state of being: Nimrod (lux aeterna) by Edward Elgar (choral piece) And: There is sweet music - Edward Elgar. I had these on repeat.

Lux aeterna is quite spooky, or am I mistaking it?
I aim for the full brain de-frag! Have that ski slope wiped clean to leave virgins snow for the after glow.

You are mistaking it. Have a listen at the correct tune
I havent had a fullbrain defrag, but I think it can be achieved with smaller doses too, that state of peace, minimal ideas of self. Concentration and letting go are needed.

I had that blissful, serene connection with pure unadultered consciousness only once and it was on my first trip with LSD. In hindsight, it was great having that first experience because it fueled my interest in the psychedelic world so much more. Maybe it was so because I had read The Psychedelic Experience by T. Leary like 3 times in the weeks prior to the trip, lol. But I never got to experience that again, not with LSD nor shrooms. When I trip now it's generally an emotional rollercoaster that is both cathartic and uplifting. It puts my imagination into overdrive as well, and music becomes 100% synesthetic with closed eye visuals. I still really enojy and benefit from tripping but I would like to have that ego-less feeling again without resorting to DMT. Well, if Buddhists got anything right, it might be that that very same desire is preventing me from getting to that state.

One thing that is difficult for me to grasp let alone put to words is just what happens in my sense of self during the peak of a trip.
It almost feels futile to write about trips on a level that tries to explain subjectively what happens. Only people who have had similar experiences know what someone is talking about, whilst they try to explain it in words. "ah he probably talks about that ineffable experience"
That is the opinion I hold at the moment that leaving those trips, those spiritual journies and their mystical nature in their own existence is best, be it in the past or present (when you trip). The best way to record those experiences is in the moment via voice recorder and drawing or other art forms.
Perhaps the best way to communicate those experiences is via symbols, such as the aforementioned geometrical mazes, religious symbols, and art such as Alex Grey has done.
Symbols are the best way to describe something that cant be described in any other way.

Yes that is the magic of the mushroom, if you allow it to guide you. The ego must fall for the true self to be born, pure consciousness, or what one would consider God.

I dont think it's necessary to get to that egoless state. I have never been completely disintegrated from myself to that extent. There are strong benefits to my being just by having the ego somewhat diminished. This provides relief, perspective and spiritual freedom.
the thought I had today on my trip which i focused on at one point was: what am i without objects to relate to? I thought about how our sense of self, our subjective being requires an object (I require something to relate to. Me - you, just like other opposites)
This curiosity drived me to go deeper in pursuit of just being and I was intrigued by what happens if i focus on the center of my mind aided by visualising circular and rectangular spirals. I am sure on a higher dose I would have broken through into something. I got a glimpse of it. Anyways, i felt very tranquil and energetic after this meditation and various breathing patterns.
Essentially like this

best pictures I found after ages.

They're called the flesh of God for many reasons, all depends if you want to take a bite of gods toe, and have a glimpse, or eat a large amount to see God fully.

How do you bring this relationship to God into sober life? What spiritual practices do you have?

I get ego death when there's enough visual distortion and weird headspace to make me not realize my body. It's like an overload of the senses, then I put on an eyemask, meditate to some meditative tones, and then ride the rest of the trip out and keep it pleasant

I once had ego dissolution effect when I was on a 7 gram trip. My personality split up into several and I was switching between them with miniature blackout between each switch, like second of time was missing. I literally teleported around the place and watching a movie was impossible. One of the egos was very freaked out, others were enjoying the process. Everyone seemed to have their own thoughts that i couldn't access unless I was that person, a thought that was being formulated carried on while I was switched to another. It was quite cool ~
Sadly I have not managed to get this since, I would love to explore this further...

Through your heart. Meditation, keeping the Ego dissolved. Returning to Nature. Once you have experienced God it never leaves you, it is always there. Even if it is hiding underneath a newly built up Ego.
