I liked portland.
Might be a shock, but the problems listed are problems everywhere. Or, well, anywhere one might actually want to live.

True. But i feel like the Homeless issue maybe worst in Oregon cities than in other cities. Then again, we are in the middle of a global pandemic so maybe homeless communities are the new norm for US cities

Homeless communities have been the norm since 2008 at least, and often before that.
I'd go so far as to say homeless communities have been a fixture of american life ever since reagan destroyed mental health care in the US.

drugs are bad. if you are going to move somewhere just so you can do drugs you are kind of a loser in my book.

Los Angeles has decriminalized drug possession as well. Do you want to move there?
Nah im afraid of gangsters in Oregon its just mountain lion and bear and wolf. I think they would kill me for my guns. I never tried meth but I wanted to.
everyone who sells meth should be relocated to a biodynamic and self sustaining rehabilitation center on an artificial island in the great salt lake, utah and forced to farm potatoes for schools and prisons

That sounds more like Portland than Oregon lol. Oregon's a great place to live, it's not easy though. You gotta be rich or have a side hustle. If you're inclined to work and play hard you'd like it here.
Don't move to Oregon though, it sucks.
anywhere in the I5 corridor or coast. it should be mentioned that it is a white supremacist state and always has been and is full of nazi tweaker cops. i bet they're fucking stoked they get to steal peoples drugs without having to coverb it up so hard

What's wrong with meth? Meth is great!
And yeah, once you leave Portland, Oregon becomes Alabama.

meth is destroying lives like a plague and one of the main reasons there are school buses that stop in front of tent cities to pick up the kids. that shit is evil. it turns people into violent delusional zombies and gives the state more excuses to take more money from everyone and the cartels are making a killing on it

The only reason cartels are making a killing of it is the Meth Control Act of 2005.
Just like everything else, we exported our jobs to Mexico.
If meth was legal, there wouldn't be nearly as many problems.

Oregon decriminalized, which means you don't get a felony, but you still get a massive ticket, you get put on probation (drug tests), and have to take classes every week about what a bad man you are. And you pay for it all, so it's not just a fine. Think about it more like a DUI. You go through the system and pay thousands of dollars.
I'm pretty sure the ticket for possession is only an infraction and is $100, and since possession is no longer a felony it is up to the cop.
You can pay it and that's it...or if one has an issue with addiction they have access to rehab.
It is a model similar to one Portugal has been using for over a decade now with great results.
California has done something similar in regards to possession of personal amounts no longer being a felony...A few years ago a friend of mine got caught with a full sheet of LSD, some MDMA & MDA, some DMT, some mushroom chocolates, and cannabis/hash (tho legal since he has a medical card)...He wasn't even arrested and never spent a single minute in jail, he just got some fines for drug possession and that was all.
I see this as progress .

This entire country is full of meth.
Oregon is as twacked out as Cali is and Cali is twacked out like New Mexico is and New Mexico is twacked out like Kansas is and so on.
Meth is in every community and in all walks of life in this country from the smallest podunk ghetto to the high rises of the metro.
Meth is absolutely everywhere, in every community across this entire nation. No doubt about it.

I'd prefer to live somewhere that isn't going to lock me up in a cage or make me pay money to the "government" just because I collected and ate some mushrooms I found growing on the ground, or because I'm growing a few plants in my backyard, or because I choose to alter my consciousness with something other than alcohol & nicotine.
Many different psychoactive plants/herbs/fungi are a part of my life just as plants & such have been part of the lives of humans for millennia . Altering one's consciousness is something humans have done for ages and there's nothing wrong it. I'd much rather live somewhere that I don't have to worry about being locked up in a cage and having my life ruined for merely growing or collecting or consuming a plant.
I guess I'm a loser .

I find Oregon to be a beautiful land...I might even reside somewhere in the southern portion of the state someday.

If you think homeless communities might be the new norm for US cities, you need to expand your horizons.
