Need to flavour-rise my rice

Got a kick ass rice cooker, but the rice always comes out natural and white, boring.
What can I do to spice it up?
I tried using knor chicken stock cubes and it comes out nice BUT I had a sneak view at the cooker in the middle of cooking and its boiling HARD in there. For 20 minutes. Wont that damages/change integrity of stock cubes?

I like Sesame oil in my rice if I'm doing anything Spicey. A little goes a long way. I'm sure the stock cubes will be fine with rapid boiling alrough you might not want a rolling boil that long right? I've always made rice on the stove so I can only assume the process is similar.

Put a cup of dry rice in a pan with a tablespoon of butter on medium heat and stir it around till it gets a little color, then cook in your rice cooker with water.

depends what you are eating it with , just do a search for 'flavoured rice recipes'. if you just want a light flavour a couple of cardamon pods and a small piece of cinnamon will give you an indian style rice that goes well with most things.

Nope.
Doesn't really matter tho. Come to think of it I never eat rice on it's own, I eat it with curry, and that provides plenty of flavour

You can try using coconut oil to give it an exotic flavor. You can also put two or three whole star anise inside of the cooker while it is cooking. I would do probably two stars per dry cup of rice.

I sometimes add a few cardamom pods or a teaspoon of whole cumin seeds when cooking Indian food. For Indonesian, I have some pandan leaves in the freezer that can be added to the rice while cooking; one leaf is ample for 2 cups of rice. When cooking Sichuan Chinese, I sometimes make an egg fried rice where I add some Chinese 5-spices powder to it.

A slice of ginger root is nice. You can sub coconut milk instead of water. I usually do a shake of butchers rub (garlic herbs n pepper) a tblsp smart balance and a teaspoon of better than bouillon low sodium chix base.

With curries or some other dishes, like say salmon and rice, I will often fold in butter once the rice is done cooking in my rice cooker. It melts into the rice and just makes it a little richer and tastier. Sometimes I'll add some salt too.
I also like folding in a few splashes of seasoned rice vinegar to my rice if I'm eating it with a Japanese type recipe. Kind of like sushi rice.
When making Mexican food I will stir tomato paste and also the powdered caldo bullions they sell in the hispanic foods section of the grocery store. They are the brown shaker bottles with yellow labels. Basically powdered bullion, they make one that is a combination of chicken powder and tomato powder that is great to flavor rice.
