I'm perfectly fine if this thread gets unstuck (what a word). Leave room for the new additions.

But man.. the longer I'm here, the more people who I used to give pointers to are getting TC tags. I've just completely let go of the notion of ever having one.

Yes and it’s not exactly a pleasant task. It’s something the mush cult mods try to avoid at all costs. Fortunately I think us mods have been doing a bang up job as of late and despite making more TC’s as of late than previous ministrations, there is little to worry about regarding that subject. I feel real good about our active TC squad

The most trusted.... in my book.
This guy actually took the time to reply to a noob like me.
Now I poke and I wheat, just like Josex!
In fact, it was the poke that helped me discover that I wasn't actually growing cubes but some other form of bacteria.

You regged on 22/12, I'm not even sure I've been something close to mean to someone from that date on. The one thing you seem to have taken from me is that I'm "mean" which makes wonder if I ever interacted with you or wronged you in any way, maybe you have another account? If that's the case I sinceraly apologize. I don't know if mean is the correct word but I'm aware I can be a cranky ass on a bad day, but ultimately I'm nothing and I mean well.
There are plenty of cranky TC's, but from what I've seen that's not what gets a tag removed. My account is not very old but I've been here long enough to witness a couple of tag removals. This forum tends to be very tolerant and embraces experimentation, but from what I've seen, a thing that can make the staff consider a tag removal is when a TC uses their tag to impose their non-proven-to-work ways upon others while at the same time discrediting proven to work methods to make theirs sound more appealing.
Trust me when I tell you I would never do that. I have a pretty unique way of doing things that suit my style and my circumstances, some of the things I do very few people know of, but by no means I'm about to sell them to the public on the premise their superior. Some of the things I do will always stay in the shadows, because although I know they work well for me, I just don't feel I have the need to make the huge effort that entails presenting them and defending them.
For instance, I was an agar addict to the point I realized the bulk of my cult work was 70% agar work and I just couldn't help it, all that agar work for what? If I only poke a single plate to make as much LC as I want. I realized I don't even need agar so I started using a substitue in the form of PF-tek pucks and I do transfers via needle poke (biopsies). That way my culture work is almost non-existent, as they take a long ass time to colonize and I can use that time to do other things. But I'm well aware that's just me and my circumstances and I don't feel a need to convert people to my cause when I know perfectly well that agar is fucking awesome and easy and pretty much the best way to start with the hobby.
The first thing I thought when I got tagged was that the staff had taken the decision to give me a vote of confidence, they think my body of contributions is worthy of the search function and that I'm qualified to help people and steer them in the right direction. A big sense of responsability washed over me after this to the point I wasn't even sure I wanted to take it but on the other hand, I know I don't want to let them down. I felt gratitude too, towards them and all the people here and above all gratitude to have found this great hobby that means so much in my life. Sure we all have our little big egos and some recognition in the form of a tag is appreciated, but in the bigger picture this means nothing.

Well then, I hope you will let us peek into your shadow stuff from time to time, I'm celebrating your poke and puck stuff, it is not just good for cultivation, but also just fun to play around with

lol I could be wrong but I think he was referring to another person but worded it ambiguously.
I read that as “there’s one guy that’s sort of a jerk....but anyway I like your avatar”.
Josex do you do mostly needle biopsy now or transfer wedges too? It’s funny how a lot of people go wild with agar initially. I had like 25 plates of my first clone by the time I realized one or two was plenty.
