Contamination? Tips on how to resolve?

Hi I believe I have contaminated jars here. Would love some feed back. I'm ready to quit. First time using oats, first time G2G and used bod's tek.
Here we have some suspect pink oyster.

Phoenix Oyster

Prior to G2G master jar looked sweet. Was made with rye berries.
King Oyster: Always looked bacterial, I'd given up on this jar long ago however now 2 sides are completely solid white, the other 2 sides still look suspect. This is rye berries from a different batch.

Lastly is this brown junk in my slant, bacteria growing inside the agar? Or caramelized sugars? Slant is fresh, has been sealed in a jar for about a week.

Thanks.

Yeah none of those look good to me, I'd say you are having bacterial issues. I'd check your sterile technique inside your SAB or whatever you're using for G2G.

Jars appear wet to me. My rule is better to error on the dry side. When filling jars I try to fill to the middle of the B in Ball. Allows room for g2g and shaking
If it is in the agar, probably just sediment.

Hi Forrester, thanks for the reply. My sterile technique is textbook altho will review a few things. I never open the window and the room get's a little warm (77f), would this increase air bacteria? When Im not working inside the SAB would it be better to have the window open for fresh airflow?
I'm going to try again. I think its the oats.

Hi Quadman,
Yes they are wet, now I see why most people recommend rye berries. Do you use oats? How do you prep? I spent a good couple of hours drying these out. Rye berries would be bone dry. Now my stuck with a 50lb bag of oats.

Oats have to have hulls on them.
I just bring a large pot of water to a boil. Then add oats , put lid on and turn heat down just below a boil. Let set for 30 minutes. Dump on screen stir a few times till there isn't any steam coming off. Fill jars and cook.
One thing nobody talks about is air exchange. I use a plastic canning lid with about a 3/8" hole and synthetic felt filter. Tried tyvek when first started and jars stalled and did poorly. Commercial filters are good too.

So all my jars have a 1/4" hole. I have a mix of polyfill and micropore tape as filter. Would you suggest I increase to 3/8"? Preping some grain now.

Just depends on how much air can move. Polyfill can be loose or packed extremely tight.

Polyfil should be packed tight imo. i get a wad and pull little bits thru until i cant pull anymore. i dont understand how you can use micropore tape on top of polyfil? i would ditch the tape.
i like synthetic filter discs much better. Quadman, are you using something like easy felt, the kind you might find at a craft store?

I haven’t grown pink or king oyster, but I do grow blue and those things are crazy strong. I’ve spawned them to cardboard with visible mold on it and they eat it right up. And I’ve seen people grow them In totally raw compost in a bucket, they are a great fungus to grow.

Dave , yes I copied Meyers Mushrooms. Used a cheap socket on an extension and heated it up melting a hole that pushes a ring of molten plastic up and then the felt just melts together making a perfect seal. It is a synthetic felt like Easy-felt. Have yet to replace one after years of use.

that Meyers stiff felt method is a good one. I think the 'how to' video is gone, so maybe less people know about it. Holds up really well. This week, one felt filter come off while cleaning the lid, but it had been in use for probably 4 years.
