I get that every time, you feel you could inoculate the fucking world. I usually end up using a small quantity from each LC and tossing the rest.

It’s interesting that the one screwed one was LC2LC. Nothing I’ve poked has ever contaminated, and I’ve had a shitty run of mold on agar it took me forever to get away from.
This method is pretty fool proof.

Forgot to add this last week but this is Mexicana Jalisco about a month old.
Definitely makes some nice syringes. Im curious how it grows out now too cuz the myc from the poke is so small it’s gotta be like doing a few transfers worth of plate work isolating genetics.

why not suck up some LC then take biopsy so squirt LC liquid instead of water back into LC?

also searched the thread has anyone tried innoculating through ship or rtv? as the talk was just about aspirating finished LC. if not i guess we will find out did some reishi and oysters will see how it works one had chunk of rtv so thats a good sign lol. guess gotta have faith. if that works it certainly is better then opening lids or poking through tinfoil and covering.
Also,
what may prove helpful is the biopsy needles as they have a 5 micron filter built in so if reusing the same syringe to do multi innoculations it would help nothing get back up into the syringe..obv doesnt seem to be an issue just an idea.
cheers!

Well if you already had an lc you wouldn’t need the biopsy right? Maybe I misunderstood.
The picture of the Jalisco I posted a few up was done through a ship.

right. but not what i meant . what i was wondering if action of taking a biospy then putting it through an rtv ship lid to inoculate the LC would be an issue.. ie stuck with rubber squished etc etc. as seems much easier then OP had instructed so was curious if there was an actual reason for that and not using silicone to incolate LC with the biospy.
cheers
nm celestial said he did it in stone thread

7 days in now. I know you can never tell with LC, but I don't see how anything can go wrong at this point. Great tek, will use this one again in the future. Many thanks!

Just one small poke. Just wish I prepared the lid with 2 ships instead of polyfill in one hole. Galindoi is apparently really thick and hard to break up and I can't really shake.

You need some kind of filter if you're planning on aspirating through a SHIP, so you're good. A whatman filter is a better option of course, but if you don't fill the jar a lot with liquid there should be plenty of room to swirl without wetting the poly.

Alright, so I decided to dive into LC, came across this great way to start my adventure! Sunday I took 4 plates, (2)huatla, (1)Malabar and (1)PE. Gave em all a poke-n-shoot and began the waiting game. Didn’t take any pictures, not much to see, but when I gave them a swirl, I can see a nice white-ish cyclone starting from bottom center and the jar comes alive, looking to be the start of some good shit I hope. It’s a good thing some are willing to share their ways, thank you Josex!

That sticker means "me gusta" = I like. Well sometimes it's not easy to take a good pic of an LC. I like to prep them lighter than that myself, 0,2% LME, it lets you see better.

You can really see the exponential growth of the myc with this too.
Mine took a while to get to where it had those little tufts visible and then like three days later the thing was super thick.
