Alcohol extraction on contaminated cakes?

Hey what’s up y’all. Just had my first cakes start developing blue tints. Right as they were pinning too. They’re bagged up and out of the vicinity but I’m wondering if doing an extraction with everclear would provide me with a useable psilocybin precipitate. My thinking is that alcohol will kill the contaminate and extract some nice psilocybin. Any input is very welcome

Hmmm would the cakes bruise blue without anything other than light mist hitting them?

Def going to take another try. Was able to get some good fruits and have an LC cloned from one of them taken well before any contamination. Really just not sure if by extracting the psilocybin in alcohol will also extract the stuff I don’t want from the mold

I highly doubt they are actually contaminated. We need pics or we can't help you. people here will be able to give you a definitive answer with a simple picture.

Word I’ll take a pic when I get home. Theoretically speaking if they were contaminated would doing an alcohol extraction kill the contamination and provide me with useable psilocybin

Alcohol kills living organisms when used at the correct concentration (optimally around 70%). Alcohol would not however remove any toxic metabolites that those organisms might have already released as they were overtaking your substrate. If you have a contamination don't risk your health/safety by trying to inefficiently extract a small amount of active material. Take it as a learning experience and move forward.

Generally mold is very white and very fluffy before it turns blue.
Blue-ing or bruised cakes is caused by poor moisture control (too wet or too dry) or rough handling.

Nice dude!!! Looking good! One little tip, strip away some of that extra tin foil so they are just slightly bigger than the cake. You don't want that perlite covered up.
