Is This Ready For Fruiting Conditions?

Attached is a pic of some cubensis colonizing a monotub. All the holes are currently taped over.

I have 3 questions: 1) Is this tub fully colonized or does it still have a couple more days?
2) It looks a little dry to me. Should I have water droplets on the surface of the substrate at this point in the process? Or do the droplets condense on the surface when FAE is introduced?
3) The mycelium looks grey-white and fairly rhizomorphic in spots. Though there are some really white bumps or dots across the surface. Are these hyphal knots or signs of contamination? They have been there for about a week and more are showing up.
Thank you in advance for any answers you give me. I am trying my best to learn! Much love!

Take the lid off and take a better picture. Fresh air for a few seconds won't disturb anything.
1. Fully colonized means 100%. Can't see because bad pic.
2. If you misted after spawning even slightly then the walls of your tub should be coated with water droplets at this point indicating very high humidity. Yes you should also see the entire substrate surface covered in water droplets as well. I can't see inside your tub so not sure there.
3. Need better pics!!!

Tub looks ok to me, but I am a BRF guy. Following to see what the TCs say.

You have some sick rhizomorphic growth there. Put it into fruiting conditions

I agree it looks good from what I can see with the lack of color contrast. Go ahead and start fruiting 👍

Thanks for the reply! Should I mist it as well?

Mist it if there’s no fine water drops on the surface.
*tip if using a regular spray bottle mist above tub and let the water fall on the surface.

Trust your gut. I know it is hard to do, but you need to have moisture droplets on the walls of your tub, but no standing water on your sub... Nice little jingle! You should also have a nice "glisten" across your myc once established. I'm not a tub grower, but I would suspect that when you start to see pins you need to lay off the heavy misting. All the work you did to get them to fruit up to that point has paid off. Simply "babysit" the substrate to assure it doesn't dry out by "as needed" misting (which I never understood why many folks have said this because it is all "babysitting"). Make sure you have good FAE and it should produce. Post updates!

This is an older thread but still relevant.

You can case and fruit at spawning. Many of the best growers here do that and have for years now with fantastic results.
Check out Pasty EZ dial tubs for a simple tub design which is set and forget when properly dialed in.

Update: ~1000g wet on the first flush! By far my biggest yield.
Two pics are a giant cluster I harvested as well as the canopy on my second day of harvesting. I try to harvest on a fruit to fruit basis depending on their maturity. I prioritize potency over anything. Therefore, there is a large portion missing on the canopy pic. Very happy! Love y’all!
