What's a good way to clean a plastic spray bottle?

My last grow failed most likely due to a bacterial contamination.
Yesterday I refilled the spray bottle which I used to mist the tub with and noticed a slimy - yet completely odor- and colorless - film on the surface of the water feed line.
That has me thinking whether I might have introduced the comtaminant via the spray bottle.
I'm not sure whether my spray bottle survives boiling water or 70%-IPA.
The picture shows the bottom of the bottle (a 2 in a triangle and "HDPE"):

How could I clean it properly?

Put a cap full of BLEACH in the half-full water bottle, then spray for 30 or so pumps. Rinse thoroughly. Done.

Thanks, Nature Boy.
Seems like the bottle would also sustain IPA: https://www.ineos.com/globalassets/ineos-group/businesses/ineos-olefins-and-polymers-usa/products/technical-information--patents/ineos-hdpe-chemical-resistance-guide.pdf

10% bleach for surface cleaning is pretty standard.

Yes...but 1) it's more expensive and 2) the time of contact for disinfection is waaaaay longer than bleach. Bleach is still your best bet, by far.
