None of them have the ring or stipe like the species you mentioned. I’ve found so many allenii, just years back. I drove by this enormous patch and thought no way... just want to confirm any suspicion. I’m taking a full spore print rn

Not looking like Psilocybe sp to me. No need to do a spore print it’s purple brown as seen on the cap in pic 1.

The edge of the underside of the caps looks thinner than allenii to me also. Unless there is evident bluing I’d toss them and keep looking.

Perhaps it's the lighting that is giving the photos a warm hue making it difficult to see the bluing if there is any.

The spore print is different from these, as well as its color.
the black brusing on them is quite similar to allenii I have found in years past.

When you look down the stipe do you see a blue shimmer on the surface?

I’m just not seeing any blue in the pics so as others have suggested it seems more like
Leratiomyces, or Hypholoma.

Both of the mushrooms suggested have a different taxonomy than what I have found. There is a shimmer of dark purple to black where bruising has occurred.

you can try to convince yourself all you want, but those are not psilocybes.

More so curious, as I’ve gotten a positive identification from another source. Looking for more confirmations. I’m not really a noob when it comes to this. But I do absolutely appreciate your 2 cents

No one is calling you a noob, but if you are so certain, why don't you eat them ?

I can't tell the genus in question, most likely Leratiomyces or Hypholoma, but the family I'm pretty confident is Strophariaceae.
And Psilocybe genus is not in it.

I also wasn't trying to be a dick either, but I have seen some persistent people on here   Boy I wish I could find that old thread years back where everyone tried to convince a guy his mushrooms weren't active and he clearly took a blue marker and marked on the stipe, and he was like see there is blue bruising :rotfl:

😂☠️ I tossed em anyways. When I’m doubt,... but yeah I’ve found them many of times but the lack of significant blueing was what was throwing me off. In the past some of my specimens didn’t bruise blue but were from patched that had provided bluing ones before hand. Perhaps just dry and didn’t blue? Not worth my liver so in the bin 😂
