Hi guys... just a few quick questions.... i have 2 pins which appears thin and long with small heads... is this normal for pans because its my first time growing them and I'm only use to growing cubes... or do they need more FAE? And why are there only 2 pins? Will more arrive later? Was a spore print which i made into syringe and inoculated wbs and spawned to horse manure, coco coir and verm mix. Been fruiting for 3 days. Stopped misting when i saw pins in the one container. Been fanning 3x a day. I fan before work in the morning and when i get home and then before i go to bed....
Here are some pics of the tub

I have no experience with pans, but ask your questions in asura or jcm's thread. you'll get a quicker and more reliable answer there.

well for one if ir growin pans without agar consider urself lucky u got a pin at all. you really should be goin to agar first it will greatly increase ur chances of a good grow. not just from bein clean but from selecting the correct growth that wont turn into a blobby overlayed mess. but if ya got a cpl pins just wait and see how it goes. with pans you cant have too much fae. the love all the fae u can provide and the key is to provide as much as u can without losing temp and rh. u should be around 77 deg f and in the 90-100 rh range with periods of evaporation and resaturation of the air around them. pans love being wet as long as that wetness comes from the humidity in the air around them. also id stay away from coir based casings. u should use a 50/50 peat and verm mix with a ph of about 7.5 but anywhere in the 7-8 range is good. u can balance that out with a lil calcium carbonate. coir casings tend to mold really easy and fast and overlay easier in my experience. a casing should be a non nutritious layer. and i cant really tell cuz the pics arent that great but ur casing is lookin a lil on the dry side. and that growth on the top is concerning to me but just continue doin what ur soin ans see what happens. just try n keep the corect conditions and if u want more info the link in my sig has my methods and ljnks to asuras and jakes
