Psilocybe Allenii caught some mold - Help!

Guys, I found these Allenii a few days back and I forgot to properly dry them, and kept in tin foil. They appear to have caught some mold..
Any suggestions what to do? Will making a tea still be good?

Make a slurry and pour it on an ideal habitat. Better than just trashing it I guess...

Made a slurry of them, I will throw them in woodchips.. goodbye to one of my first finds in the bay area.
I would have been probably fine with making a tea, but I just found a decent patch today, so tossing a few wouldn't hurt..

Guys! Quick update: I had tossed these in water to soak to make slurry. Made a great blue juice, damn, I want to drink this right away!..

The hot temps will render that mold harmless.

Yes it will, but their metabolites will stay. Can't burn chemicals, and i don't know if those are safe to drink, prolly not

Its really important to dry wild shrooms immediately as they host lots of mold spores. A hard lesson learned for me

And never wash them off first, or they will dry into a solid black inactive piece of crap!

That's what I would do, no sense wasting them.

ya as renegade said. its not mold itself thats harmful leaves some toxins behind. sometimes its not enough to do much but sometimes its enough. last thing i want is me tripping about my stomach even more on shrooms lol.

I learned this the hard way after returning home with a few fresh pounds of cubes. They were covered in manure, so I rinsed them all off and left them to dry. Well, that was bad idea, because they all turned into a black stinky rotten mess, what a waste! This was also when I first started hunting mushrooms and didn't know any better. I never made that mistake again

We're you able to identify the mold on the mushrooms? Not much is known about these types of fungi and doing some home science could reveal potentially unknown fungal species or properties that could lead to scientific discovery in the future.
It is true that mycotoxins or secondary toxic/beneficial metabolites from the mold would still be present and harmful in the slurry, but sometimes, just sometimes, those special fungi or molds lead to new substances that could be anti-fungal/bacterial or some other positive condition or property that could be beneficial to humans!
Just a thought for the future. Spread those spores wide.
