Dark spot on my bulk spawn, what should I do?

First culture attempt here
I woke up to see this darkened spot on my bulk spawn this morning. I was considering doing something like applying isopropl alcohol to the spot or boiling water.
Is there anything I can do or is the tub a write off?

The whole thing aint lookin very good in my opinion. Seperate this tub from your others, as in a different part of your dwelling space, and continue to monitor. Looks not good though.

I have a casing layer on the top, does that hide anything?
I only have one other tub and it looks like this, any chance you could speak to its health?:

Yes, that one looks really healthy to me. If you can notice the small strands of mycelium breaking through almost in a spike-like manner, that is the classic sign of a healthy mycelial network. However, there are other forms that are also healthy, they just dont look quite as visually nice like that.
Please be sure to seperate your two tubs, the second one you posted will do very well. The reason I say the first does not look good, is because normally even with a casing layer, the myc should normally colonize across the whole sub somewhat evenly. Yours is splotchy, along with that spot, it just doesnt look good.
I hope this helps you.
Edit - you also have healthy looking pins developing on your 2nd tub.

Thanks for pointing out what to look for. I have seperated the tubs and will monitor the first tub skeptically. Someone recommended I remove the dark patch, salt the extracted patch (to prevent further contamination in my general environment) and continue to watch it.
I haven't yet put the second tub into fruiting conditions but there was a little air leakage I sealed up with tape (I got a strange kind of container that breaks open at the base). Would you suggest that it's ready have oxygen introduced?

you could let it go sealed up a little longer or you could fruit it now. a lot of growers don’t even distinguish between “colonizing” & “fruiting” stages, as long as your sub is staying properly moist on the top it’s gonna do fine
