Microdosing Cubensis + Lion's mane for prevention of cognitive decline?

Hi guys, Does anyone have links to recent research hinting at the potential of microdosing psilocybin and edible mushrooms to prevent cognitive decline? I know that the prevention of neurodenerative diseases like Alzhimer's are usually listed as potential benefits from microdosing different types of mushrooms, but I don't know if there's reasearch related to preventing cognitive decline in general.
I told my parents (about 60 yo) about recent studies on Lion's mane and they were really keen on buying powdered capsules to eat daily. I haven't disclosed the fact that I grow/use psychedelic mushrooms to them yet, but if I ever do, perhaps I could make them be more open to it by showing recent studies on the topic. Boosting neurogenesis is already a fascinating quality of psilocybin mushrooms but I would like to show them as much evidence as possible of the potential benefits.
Thanks in advance!

I'm not familiar with any literature on the subject as most of the research is currently geared towards determining if Big Pharma can clinically replace Anti-Depressants at the moment -- all their patents for these drugs have been expiring over the last twenty years so they're desperate to patent synthetic psychoactive constituents and claim them as their property.
Anyway... if you want to help your folks, I'd suggest looking into high-dose melatonin therapy for preventing cognitive decline, among other things.
For reference, search for the work of Dr. Frank Shallenberger. The search query "Schallenberger melatonin therapy" on your search engine of choice should return some good literature.
Alternatively, the work of Dr. Pierpaoli is also of value.

I’m interested in this as well, due to my fiancé having some neurological deficit related to her Lyme disease. I’m doing research, and have found some information. I’m also journaling our experiences using niacin, lion’s mane, and psilocybin. I will be adding more articles as I find them, but check out the links in my journal.

I'm pretty sure you're going to find nothing, at least nothing studying longer than a few months scope. This is both a not-so-well funded area of study and an area that requires well-designed, decades-long studies.
I think the best you will do is to find some highly compelling anecdotes and hope they point you in the right direction.

Thank you very much for your replies. I have read what I could find and what RoscoeReturns linked and I am very impressed by the neuroplasticity effects, especially increased compelxity in dendritic structures and higher dendritic spine density. These are quite amazing properties, they might just be quite literally the mind-boosting or cognition-preserving compounds that we have needed for centuries. I think the results so far, both anecdotical and scientifically rigorous, hint that the positives should largely outweight the potential negatives (of microdosing). I think I will talk to my parents about this soon, perhaps they want to give it a shot. Or perhaps I shall start microdosing first for a couple months and then see first-hand if there are noticeable benefits at someone my age, and only then talk to them about it. It really sucks that many people from their generation only approve of alocohol use, a literal poison.

https://www.institutefornaturalhealing.com/2020/10/mushrooms-prevent-alzheimers-study-finds/ This is a literature review where you can find some research on lion mane mushroom Remember supplements vary (those that are not FDA regulated) from some having exactly what they say in them to others containing 100% cornstarch some including overseas markets may have harmful fillers
