I was thinking more along the lines of jailing journalists trying to expose what is really going on in China but the organ harvesting execution vans are also a something to consider I guess.

Do Chinese police kill citizens in the street for being suspects in minor crimes?

What do you mean "level of freedom"? I think most of the developed world has the same level of freedom that US citizens have. I struggle to understand why some US citizens seem to think they've got the monopoly on freedom.
Genuinely, if someone could tell me specifically what this freedom is that would be great.

True, just not to the extent that US Police go around killing citizens.
I'll not link the page as I doubt we have accurate figures on Chinese state brutality for accurate comparison. It's fair to say that China's treatment of it's own citizens doesn't seem to be demonstrably much worse than the US, at least in terms of state agents killing citizens.

America is number 6 on the list for best places to run a business. The potential there alone is virtually limitless. The best countries all use capitalism. America is not even a self centered nation either. We trade with the top 5 of the list I mentioned. We work with other like minded countries to guide them to a market based economy of the people. We lead by example. Even when we put someone into power that can not handle it we can vote them out. Do not get dumbed down by the media and realize that America is a lot deeper than what articles and news clips would lead some to believe.
Think much deeper than what you see.

The best places to run a business tend to be the worst places to live.
That's because it's easier to run a business when there are no pesky laws requiring you to, ya know, pay your workers and shit.

The fact that Virginia is currently simultaneously ranked the best state for business and the worst state for workers comes to mind.

I see that you mean less regulations regarding workers rights. That doesn't mean it is a bad place to live. Virginia is not even close to the worst place to live in the USA. It ranks pretty high actually. Less regulation usually means its even easier to operate a business while not being a corporation https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/virginia#:~:text=Virginia's%20economy%20is%20as%20diverse,technology%20companies%20of%20the%20suburban

I didn't say "worst place to live", I said "worst place for workers". Plenty of business owners living large in Virginia.
Virginia is currently ranked 50th of 50 on wages, 49th or 50 on worker protections, and 48th of 50 on rights to organize by workers.
All of which is absolutely fantastic for owning a business.

Looking on the situation from that perspective is not fully informed on the market the people in virginia live under. Those wages are usually suited for the local economy and the people adjust to that market. Virginia has a pretty low poverty rate. Single digit percentage. Seems the wages don't matter, the market and economy of an area does though. Minimum wage jobs give room for growth. Not a lot of people can see that perspective though. Opportunity is much more valuable than a cushy wage.

Minimum wage in virginia: 7.25$
Minimum wage required to afford rent+food in virginia without government subsidies in a 40 hour workweek: 27.83$ (for a family of four)
Your taxes go to subsidizing the corporations that underpay you.
What kind of "opportunity" does flipping burgers provide?
This is why I don;t want kids. The ROI sucks.

Start a business.
If you have a family on minimum wage then make yourself more marketable if you can not make ends meet. There are more often than not plenty of opportunities. People are more often than not un-skilled and show no sign of growth on top of being entitled to wages of people who have had to learn a multitude of skills, specialize, or become certified to get to where they have earned financial security. Also our market is designed to motivate us to be better not get stuck in mindless corporate run gigs and find a business or field to grow in or more importantly along with. Perspective is everything. I have faced my own struggles in our markets and have learned what it takes to overcome the adversity mostly by knowing that money is not the most important factor to look at. Marketability is.

Lol, that way, you can be in debt when Amazon decides to delist your product and replace it with an identical Amazon brand substitute.

...what if the next effect of Trump is bombings in medium profile places, assuming the biggest cities are in lockdown, perpetrated by domestic terrorists, what might that look like, and how fast will that get squashed?
anyone agree that organizing to kill Americans is ever a good idea? go fuck yourself, clean though

One things for certain, the Secret Service will have to be on point, like no other time in modern history.
