Are These PE Ready for Harvest?

Should I pick these bad boys or let them grow longer? If I go longer, what should I look for (bumby stalks, bluing around the cap at the stem, etc)?

No.. when they get squishy.. you can let the caps open up pretty far because they won’t shit spores everywhere

Thanks Faht, you are always on it. Hey if you look at my pic again, look at the cake behind the "subject cake". I grew PF Red Spore with PE in the same SGFC. I swear that is a PF RS growing on my PE cake (on the top). How could that have happened? I might have dunked RS and PE cakes in the same water. I thought I had them separated. Is that even possible?

No you don't want spores dropping everywhere in ideal situations.
Pretty cool about the random mushroom, if you dunked them in the same water its possible a tiny amount of mycelium transfered and grew with PE myc

Pe on brf cakes? I never heard of anyone fruiting on brf cakes with pe. Good work anyway. I grew them bulk a few times. They were harder to grow Than most of the other cubensis I grew. You had to case them before.

PE does pretty good on cakes.. even modern PE.. you have to give them water later in the game because they take so long to fruit but I don’t/didn’t have trouble with them
Modern:

Pre-2006:

It’s all about water content

Spores dropping is way better than growing tubs of mold (Which I may have or may not have done already! hahaha

Faht, You say to "water late in the game". I heavily watered EARLY in the game and laid off towards the fruiting stage. Are you telling me I should hit these bastards a little more during the fruit rather than pre-pin? Your modern PE are freaking humungous. What do you eat, like one mushroom for a journey???? Mine are the size of a chimpanzee pecker.. HAHA

Yours might have a bit too much water.. depends on when you birth them oo. If you wait a long time to birth them, then they aren’t going to need as much water.. it’s balancing act you just have to get a feel for. I dunk at birth (most times) then add water to a thick verm layer on top of the cake around 10 days in to replenish their water supply and then kind of keep that layer moist until I see pins and stop watering.. so I guess more mid-game maybe. I babysit then though... if they feel too wet, I’ll sit them in open air until they dry a little etc.

Dam those pics are rad! Pe rocked my world. I did two separate trips. One was 9 grams. Whew! Don’t think I’ll do that again but it was fucking blaster of a trip.

I did three grams of PE about 2 months ago. I am still searching for that same feeling! They absolutely rocked me to my core. I am pretty good at keeping a level head if I get the "bad feelings" coming on. With those I had to step back a few times and remind myself "you're just on drugs" and I could snap back to feeling good. If I am on the brink of losing my cool, you know they are bangers!

Look how much they pushed through the night from yesterday. I would suspect I should be harvesting in 2 or three days.?.?.? And if anyone can explain how that PF Red Spore got atop of a PE cake, I'd love to hear it. Will the different species of mycelium compete with one another on that same cake? Has anyone ever seen this before? I tried a comprehensive search and notta...

I powdered 1.5 grams of PE and was having way too good of a time. Can't imagine 9 grams.
