I have patience, but not this much! (help needed)

After reading books on cultivation, youtube vids and forums etc - I have taken the plunge to try my 1st grow.
On the 13th Nov I inoculated 6 BRF jars with a GT syringe from an online vender. To date, none have fully colonized and the photos below show the current state. I have smelt them, no smell coming from them - and I have also flipped them, which didnt do anything. I have loosened the foil on top to let more air in also.
On the 27th Nov I inoculated a further 5 quart jars rye grain. 2 jars look fully done, the other 3 have large gaps with no white as you can see and doesn't seem to be developing further. I have shaken where possible, but some of them are too hard to break up as I left it too long.
Both methods I followed a reputable guide step by step so unsure where I went wrong. On the BRF jars, it was the first time I have used a PC so could of been a chance it didn't reach full 15psi for the full duration.
During this time, temperatures have sometimes been low as 62-64 F but on the main been around 68-70.

Should I throw all BRF jars, and just keep waiting on the quart jars??

If you used a syringe with spores to noc up you grain then it’s probably bad.
You brf might be ok. Hard to tell from pictures. The grain looks bad.

The grain jars 100% are bacterial. Can’t really tell with the brf jars, but if they were inoculated from the same source as the grain jars and they’re not colonizing then it’s probably not good

yup grain is def bacterial. bacterial grains tend to really slowly or stall out & grow really thick & milky white like that instead of whispy like healthy mycelium. you’re gonna wanna use agar for grains in the future!! also what’s in the bottom right of the jar in the first BRF pic? looks sus

Too much time passed already. Most likely your grains are 'smelly'.
What you could try to do anyway is to shake it well and maybe there will be enough power for myc to spread and then if it will grow you can try to wash it before doing substrate part. Anyway you have very small chances here as 1.5 month passed and grains after such long time most likely are bad.
As a rule of thumb, when you have unclean culture or not perfectly sterilized grains, shake it to make myc spread faster and it will outgrow bacteria 50/50.

I'm sorry but shaken bacterial grains will not let the myc outgrow the bacteria, it will spread the bacteria and weaken the myc by damaging it. Shaking grains often exposes hidden bacterial/fungal contamination. It doesn't weaken them.

I would keep the BRF jars, they look okay to me.

Thanks for all the replies, appreciate it.
Looks like I could be back to square one on the quart jars then. I have just had a sniff on one of the jars that has stopped and it doesn't smell of anything really.
What about the 2 below jars that are both nearly 100% white - should I g2g from these to build up to 5 jars again - or have they been sitting too long and just chuck them all? I have no more syringe left and currently cant source spores online.

Yes it was a spore syringe that I used to inject 2cc in each grain jar.
When you say the grain looks bad... it looks the same as when it did after I boiled it, like a dark golden colour - its called "organic rye grain" from whole foods - should I use different material next time?

A guy I follow on YB PhillyGoldenTeacher has a "Agar Cups Recipe" so I will look into how I can do it, I was put off thinking it would be too advanced and I would need a SAB or flow hood - all I have is a very small clean bathroom to work with/in.

I would spawn those and search for clones. Bacterial spawn very often fruits but isn't good to g2g.
You need to make a sab.
Also fuck YouTube, use shroomery, search user d3monic and see his agar Tek, these vids may help. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21032261#21032261

Agreed, YouTube and Reddit are very poor sources of information. This place is by far the best.
Making an SAB is very simple. Buying pre made agar is something you can do to get your feet wet.

I've only got a 66 quart tub that I was going to follow Pastys EZ dialed - I was going to use the 4 quarts for spawn, then the remaining jar to g2g to keep me going and avoiding having to buy more spores online. I assume it wouldn't work if I reduced the spawn quants down to 2 jars, maybe 3 at a push in that size of a tub?
Sounds ridiculous I know, but I just don't have the space in my living set-up to have another smaller tub plus a big tub for the SAB on top of the 2 66 quart tubs I already have. That's why I set up my quart jars to have self healing ports so I could inoculate in open air.
Not sure what to do really.
Thank you for sending that link, I will check out the vids and also search for d3monic.

Don't expand them. You don't even know what it is so expanding it for the sake of expansion isn't the best idea.
Much better off taking whatever yield comes from the jars spawned and wait for like in about two weeks and take from a cluster.
I used a small sab for years.
I used the box my first presto came in with saran wrap over the top for viewing. You can get creative.

Most of my information I get from here, the youtube info I referred to was from a guy known as Philly Golden Teacher - I noticed on the first vid I watched of his that the most 'liked' comment was from someone on here so thought he might be a trustworthy source:
