I want to ask for a gift back
    #27111322 - 12/27/20 08:35 PM (3 years, 1 month ago)

I bought someone close to me a piece of jewelry for Christmas and feel bad about it.  I was in a rush and ended up buying something that looks nice, but I feel cheap about it.  I’m pretty sure it’s mostly cubic zirconia.  It was less expensive than I was planning on spending and it’s been on my mind these past couple days.  It’s not like $19.99 infomercial cheap, but I would much rather do it over again with a nicer piece of jewelry but don’t know if I should or how to go about it.

Should I let it be and get em next time?  Should I buy a new piece and get that one back from her after I give her the new piece?

Idk what to do.

Just give her the new one and let her keep both.  Don’t mention a replacement or anything just give it as a new separate gift and let it be.  That’s how I would handle it.

Agreed get her the new piece and let her keep the other one, say the one you wanted wasn't available until now
She should appreciate the thought

Women like jewelry and I have to agree with the other respondents, let her keep both. However, I personally would let it go this time and give the new piece at a more opportune time, such as new years, birthday, some kind of special event anniversary; I would absolutely treat it as a delicate matter.
