Velvet Underground - What Goes On (in some kickass live version)
or My Morning Jacket - Butch Cassidy
Spiritualized - I Think I'm In Love
Tindersticks - Cherry Blossoms
Underworld - Rez/Cowgirl (live)
Yo La Tengo - Hanky Panky Nohow
Motorpsycho - Vortex Surfer
etc
and since this is my first post here, I'd like to say hi to everyone.... Hi...

I'm'a say...
Monster Hit by Spongle
or
Classical Mushroom by Infected Mushroom
or
The Four Seasons by Vivaldi
I find this post riddled with tastelessness.

i'd have to go with skinny puppy's 'cult' as their saddest song. i love that song to death.
"a lasting moment to hold onto with regret the scent of time tried and tested i never noticed the phantoms of her mind crescent moon i'm cutting through paste up warnings fill the sky smoking embers i remember time and time again to try to live i light to sink within her i think of light time to blame to borrow from your past elapsed collapsing she's not insane she's gone insane and if the root of silence pulls me off and love is lost not from my heart i sit upon this throne that throws me off and she falls backwards to the floor and forward to the back she says elapses all my truth again she's the one i live for i live alone burns inside horribly she lifts me to the spirit burns the darkest hours my corrupt brain is hurting once again the door lies quiet left alone i'm thinking of her sitting the burning clock of time"

Personally I think the most beautiful songs out there are both by the Violent Femmes. American music, I held her in my arms and Waiting for the bus are all songs that express so much emotion, yet are still light hearted.
