My first fruiting BRF cakes, over misting ?
    #27103195 - 12/23/20 12:00 AM (2 months, 10 days ago)

This is my first fruting and they look weird to me. Is it that theres too much humidity. I’m trying to keep my sgfc at 90% RH in 73 deg temp. Im also running a humidifier.

What do you guys think ? More FAE ?

Well, you probably don't want water on the walls, but you got some nice fruits coming out, sometimes they just look how they look when your genes are a crapshoot from spores, enjoy!

edit: as for FAE I would use more and larger holes, be sure you have holes on the bottom, RR points out cuz as the stuff rises clean air is pulled in from the bottom, and usually I htink you want the container to pretty exactly fit the number of cakes, so fewer cakes implies smaller chamber, hope this helps

Your Sgfc is improperly constructed. Your foil is too big under cake also that cake is stressed is this the second fluish?  I think. I think your holes are too small are they 1/4 inch? they should be 1/4 in also I would revisit the sgfc plans and make sure it is constructed properly there are a lot of hidden meanings to the engineering of the sgfc.

Thanks for the feedback, I think they are coming out but fae was my main problem, i located a small computer fan on the top of the lid and the second cake started pinning so I’m hopeful. This is the first flush. I’ll dunk it again after fruiting and see what happens in the second run. I also lowered humidity to 90% max so hopefully that helps.

I saw a lot of posts saying that most newbs worry more about humidity than fae and it seems I made the same mistake. Also will definitely go with shoebox monotub on my next grow. It seems to be higher yielding. These sgfc are a bitch to care for. My friend did a small tub with a couple of small holes and he got great results considering he didn’t  look at it for like a week. Also my holes seemed to be large enough but i guess they weren’t

Oh ya one other thing RR says about FAE is right after misting you can fan with the lid for a good 15 or 20 seconds. If you really want to get good at this tek you should watch his video on it, the link to his series is in his signature.
