Petri Dishes Expensive

I am wondering if anyone would be kind enough to PM me a message with a place that sells petri dishes by the case/500. Buying 20-25 petri dishes on amazon is getting quite expensive. I think I would save quite a bit by buying bulk if it's possible. If anyone has any advice it would be lovely.

While I can’t help you with bulk plates, I can recommend you look up Alien’s Holy Grail no pour agar. You can get 8 reusable containers for around $13. A steeper cost up front, but eventually it will break even.
-------------------- Clone -> agar -> UnBODified monotub (first attempt, left unattended a week before harvesting)
Thanks BOD 🙏

Did you try looking for a case of 500 on amazon? They're there...

Well $55 sounds almost too good to be true compared to $15-$21 dollars for just 25 dishes Ive been looking at. :P

What I wanna know is what are you gonna do with 500 petri dishes
Have you considered contacting a brand directly such as FisherBrand?

amazon and ebay both have bulk 500's if you look for them specifically. Same with coir.
Yea, 500 is a nice stack but you go through them fast enough with multiple projects, cloning, crossing, whatever your deal is.

LogicaL Chaos, I just figured it would make sense getting enough at one time to last maybe 6 months, maybe a year who knows. Less shipping cost I assume in the long run also. I am not sure if anywhere makes smaller cases less than 500 of them. I did take Sir Pentinite, and LtLurker's advice and look for cases on Amazon and they seem to be only $83. So not that much more expensive being that I do not have to have a business account. I'm wary of telling a fib and getting in trouble :P

Thats not too bad of a deal. I Think i want some 90-100mm petri dishes though. I never can get a nice looking plate with small no pour cups. I am not sure what I am doing wrong lol. Thinking more room would help with isolating strains.

i like the large plates to.
Terms cause why not. Strain is single pair of spores. Sectoring on ms plates has tons of strains.
