What to do with this etiolated San Pedro cutting?

Hey guys
So I have this nice San Pedro that etiolated pretty bad and I ended up performing surgery on. I took the cutting and set up on top of a book shelf to callus and kind of forgot about it. Then when I recently discovered it found it's kept growing into this funny shape.
Trying to decide what to do with it. I was thinking cutting the new growth off it, letting it callus , and then let it root log style in a pot.
What would you guys do with it, if anything? Thanks!

Chop the tip and treat it like a seedling. The rest will work as a log or a columnar plant.

Oh nice so I'll be able to use that light green tip too? So just cut it, let it callous + root it? It will fatten up and grow like regular?
My concern with using this cutting was because it's so thin it wouldn't be very sturdy of a base for anything that grows off it
Thanks!

Here is a photo of the bottom of that cactus, you can see the two new ones growing - does that look healthy? It's winter right now so they are inside. I'm giving them as much light as I can , it's tough though, that's how they etiolated last winter , hopefully it's in a better spot in a room with skylights.
The second cactus, it's a PC San Pedro - that one etiolated too but this summer in the sun it started fattening up again at the top. I think I might need to lop the top off + root it, possibly the middle part too. Any thoughts?

Get a light, when the skin gets lighter it means it needs light. I got a little $35 35w light that seams to have supplemented them with enough light for winter times.
And for the eloted one, I'd say wait a year and maybe chop it when it gets too tipsy

Are you saying this one needs a light?

Etiolated ugly cacti is what you normally get trying to grow trichs indoors, or in cold climates. Trichs need a few hours of good sun per day, and this can only be replicated indoors in a sun room or south facing window.
However, seedlings and young plants are more forgiving and do quite well for a while under artificial lighting.
Your big one will eventually etiolate starting from the two pups, and it will only get worse if that is the only light that they are receiving.
Do you have any south facing windows that get a bit of full sun daily that you can put them by?

Yeah, get em near a window pronto and if you live in a place like me where there's actually no direct sun for weeks, get a light.

Yeah I learned this lesson last winter. I rooted both these cuttings in the spring before this past. They did fine until last winter, when they did not get enough sun, this is where they etiolated. In the spring/summer/fall until it got chilly I kept them on a southern facing porch outside where they did quite well, the PC one started looking better and I ultimately decided to wait. The non PC one, I cut the etiolated part off in mid September, and it grew those two pups outside in the fall months.
I brought those two cactus inside in the winter. They sit in a room with two large skylights and one big sliding glass window - they get a decent amount of light a day. If you think those two pups are starting to look etiolated already then I will nip this in the bud and see if I can find somewhere sunnier 🤷🏻♂️
What about temps? Is it okay if it's chilly in the winter so long as they get sun?

I see, well, just how chilly would the be getting? Some Trichs can handle temps down to about 32 degrees, but I would never risk letting them get even close that cold. The average winter nighttime temps in their natural environment is around 45 to 50 degrees.
Also don't water them at all during their winter dormancy, they just don't need it. Only water them when it's warm and when they are actively growing.
But yeah, those pups don't look that bad at all yet

Right on, thanks! It's probably between 63 + 67F here, room temp , with some fluctuations
