Crossfading

Last night I got crossfaded to the point of trippig absolute balls. At some point I spent an entire album length dancing with my ceiling light while the world around me took on a quality that it looked like it was all under shallow blue water under a tropical sun, and for a while I got this very strong sense that I was being comforted by god.
Had some classic psychedelic effects too; tunnel zooming, including visual, losing touch with self identity, etc. Also had an effect I've only ever experienced with LSD before: pleasure gasping embarrassingly, and crying at nothing, so that was a bit odd thinking back.
This lead me to thinking today; I've always had extremely positive and intensely psychedelic experiences with crossfading. The last ego death I experienced was achieved through crossfading. Is this unusual?
Most of what I ever heard about crossfading is people feeling extremely ill, feeling like they are going insane, or just immediately fast forwarding to a horrible hangover. Best case scenario I heard personally seems to just be a feeling of having consumed twice as much alcohol. Only one guy I know will do it and he tends to have 1 beer with a small bowl and leave it like that, coz if he pushes it like I do then he just throws up and goes to sleep.
Last night I went in pretty deep. I had 9 pints of beer (between 4.5 to 5.5% ABV), and then a really fat bowl where I used up my whole supply of weed which was supposed to be my bedtime smoke for the next week until the DNMs are back from holiday.

Back when I drank and smoked I'd always combine the two. It usually just made me tired and want to fall asleep, but was relaxing

I'm kind of glad you brought this up as I've had many a borderline trip while very intoxicated and very high. The right kind of drunk combined with a very strong series of tokes has left me on the floor with what felt like crazy CEVs. That was a long time ago, but I've known it to happen. It felt as though I was blacked out while dreaming these ridiculous patterns and landscapes. But not such a great idea for me because of the nausea/spins I tend to get.

2-4 beers and a fat bong rip was always basically my crossfade limit.
Summertime only for me !
Even at those levels it can mimic a trip, so I can't imagine being fully blasted and then fully ripped.

It’s honestly one of my favorite things to do unless overdone. A couple tall boys with some dabs and mochs(American spirit tobacco rips out a bong) does it for me. Usually it’s the most trippy and profound during the moch rituals. The alcohol isn’t really a sacrament but the tobacco sure is and smacks you hard in a good way. I usually take a few mochs each day just to level out my anxiety and bring clarity as to what’s bothering my conscious or soul.
