I have noticed the same thing. Just use a little less so that it is not packed and use a verm layer on top. :smile:

just today I prepared a new jar. same thing. I tried to leave it really fluffy and still had enough substrate to fill up the bottom of another jar or two so the idea just came to me that I could use these as you do in teks like agar and tissue cloneing, but for now it went down my drain :smile:

Hmm, well I already have ten jars done, I lightly packed them all, not hard, just light pressure to make all the substrate fit. Will this just cause it to take longer to colonize the jars, or should I just clean them out and start over? I am still waiting on my syringes from SporeMagic so it wouldn't be that big a deal too, just a hassle. If it will add any more than a week to the colonization time, I think I might redo the jars? What do you guys think?
